Extracted it to a folder.
Read the 2 text files.
Installation instructions appear to be only for FS2004.
I'm a bit reluctant to start modifying files, I had to re-install the whole thing last week when I over tweaked something.
Well as the instructions do say, it was made specifically for FS9 ( FS2004), and not FSX, as are all my sceneries.
However, large numbers of people have had great success in converting my sceneries to FSX.
Basically you need a couple of tools.
AFX (Airport Facilitator X), which you can use to convert the FS9 AFCADs to FSX AFCADs, and also it will produce exclude files to exclude any default FSX objects that may appear in the scenery ( trees, buildings etc).
Remove my FS9 AFCAD and Exclude files, and replace with the FSX ones. Remove any of the tree files ( they will be a BGL file with the filname ending in XXXX tre.bgl).
FSX cannot display FS9 style trees. If you have the Static Objects Library thats available on my website installed, then all the buildings and other objects will show up in FSX.
Instant Scenery Object Placer is a tool you can use to replace the FS9 trees that have been removed from the scenery, with FSX style default trees.
Thats a simplified version of what to do to get my FS9 sceneries running in FSX. There are many threads here on NZFF, where people have successfully converted quite a number of my sceneries to FSX satisfactorily. A large number of my FS9 sceneries have also been converted to X-Plane 9, and are available for download on the X-Plane website.
Lawrie.
