Hi Guys.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all the kind thoughts.
Really, a card, and or pressie are'nt necessary, but im touched by all your kind thoughts.
I dont know where im going to be, from one day to the next at the moment.

I collapsed at work on Wednesday last week, and was disorientated, and all weak, slow and dopey after that................

Ive been given a "get-out-of-jail" card for the night, so im spending tonight at home with my wife.
Theyve given her a list of things to watch for, and if anything occurs, get me straight back up there...........
Luckily, i live less then 5 mins drive from the hospital.

I have to be back at Tauranga Hospital first thing in the morning (Thursday).
I am scheduled for a full MRI scan with the dye etc, on Thursday.

Its looking like i may have had a small cereberal haemorrage.
Among all the other things thyeve done to me, ive also had a Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap).
It showed blood cells in the spinal fluid, which usually indicates a bleed in the brain cavity somewhere.

I'll know whats happening in the next couple of days. Theyve told me that if it is a bleed in the brain cavity, i will have to be taken to Waikato hospital to have the bleed drained, as thats where they do that sort of thing in the central north island.

I'll keep you all posted as and when i can................

Sincerest Thanks.

Get well mate - yell out if you or your family need someone to talk to about bleeds etc. I had an aneurysm 15 years ago and are still here smile.gif There wasn't much info available to us at the time - it was bloody scary.

Bloody hell mate! must be something to do with working in Servo's... same thing happened to me in '02 unsure.gif
They gave me the full works as well, but all tests came back inconclusive - made the Docs worried, and me more-so.

Just rest up and good luck with the scans tomorrow smile.gif

Hi there Guys.

Well, the MRI scan revealed what the problem was.............
It was a bloodclot in an artery on the right hand side of the brain that caused my collapse.
They have successfully dissolved the clot, and i am on the mend.
A few weeks rest from work, and hopefully i will be as good as new.
I came home on Thursday evening from the hospital, but i have to go back each morning for the next week for checks.
After that i will go up 3 times a week to be checked for 2 weeks.

A nice little rest away from work for a few weeks,................. i might actually get a few sceneries completed that are almost finished !! smile.gif

Thank you all very much for your kind thoughts during the time i was in hospital, and also, my wife, Raewyn, has asked me to thank you as well.
