Must admit it's been too many years since I went to Dunedin Airport, but the area is one of my favourites. I'm planning on doing a few flights around it today. Thanks for the effort, I liken you to the voz boys in Aussie, with all your airports. I do feel that Christchurch could benefit from your touch smile.gif There is some great scenery for it, but I dunno, I really love how you make the feel of the airports.

Youre not the first to request NZCH,....... and its crossed my mind once or twice.
But, im quite happy with the large photoreal from the NZ Scenery Design Group (filename ... Christchurch-1.7-full-install-240206.exe )... ( 268mb) .
I am, however, doing NZTI Taieri, just a couple of minutes from NZDN.

G'day Lawrie, i've just installed NZDN but i'm missing a couple of buildings. Which library set contains the Fire Rescue station, the building adjacent to the fire station and the Air BP fuel storage tanks? Thought i'd installed them all but I guess not!

The fire station and adjacent buildings are from these 2 sets.................

rafoperationslib.zip by Ted Andrews.
rafcontroltowers.zip by Ted Andrews.

I would also reccommennd you get..........

fs9rafhangers.zip by Ted Andrews.
fs2004_raf_buildings_textures.zip by Ted Andrews.

Those sets are in wide use in my Whenuapai scenery. Install the 3 main ones first, then install the "fs2004_raf_buildings_textures.zip" LAST.
This last one adds some missing textures from the original sets.

The Fuel Tanks themselves are from ......

ez-fuel_tanks.zip (1.13mb) by Sidney Schwartz.

Beware with the EZ Fuel Tanks set, some of the early Sidney Schwartz textures werent saved in the right format, so they cause blurrys.
Have a look in the pinned items at the top of the page in my sub-forum for the Blurry "fixes".
He re-did all the texture sets that were affected.

This has caused me to notice that i missed out on putting the ez fuel tanks object set on the list of required ones in my INSTALL instructions !!
Oh dear,................ oh well,......... most people that have even a few of my sceneries, should have that one by now.....

Lawrie,
Just wanted to add my reaction to Dunedin, beeyoutiful. My wife and I visited there (not the airport but the city) a few years back. We are from California, USA, and Dunedin and Queenstown are a couple of my favorite places in NZ. Most of my sim flying is in NZ and AU and your sceneries make it a pleasure.

Thanks very much Jim.
Im just doing my little bit to help make NZ a pleasurable place to fly in, particularly as New Zealand "straight-out-of-the-box" in FS9, is THE blandest, most hideously neglected, and inaccurate country in FS9.
It also helps that i LOVE doing this sort of work................. laugh.gif

Lawrie,
Top job. When I've first landed by freedomair at NZDN in 2006 I've enjoyed the airport very much. The architect of the new building had previously styled the extension of our local Shopping Centre in Knox, Vic, AU and used a lot of elements in this new project. So on going shopping I'm always reminded of this marvellous airport. Your modelling completes this circle. Awainting my return to this fantastic spot of our great planet I can now enjoy using this facility in its full beauty. That is if I find a gap in the line-up of "simtraffic" ...
Keep up the marvellous work and looking forward to future projects

Any chance of a photoreal version of the new terminal?
(although I guess that would be hard)

Man your sceneries always look astounding.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

There may be the possibility of a future update for the NZDN scenery containing a custom terminal building.
Update would be similar to the custom terminal building update to my Whakatane NZWK scenery,....... the update would require that the original scenery be already installed, and you would just be overwriting a couple of existing filenames with new ones.

Another stunning effort Lawrie, bludy well done. Even the car-park vehicles look a little NZ-ish thumbup1.gif
(actually, just thinking, be a nice project to build some simple scenery blocky vehicles representavie of what we see on NZ roads?)

Any chance of a VATSIM friendly Invercargill? All scenery addons to date seem to put the NAVAIDs and the runways in the incorrect place. I can get images VERY easily considering I work and fly there everyday smile.gif

Ive never considered NZNV, as im quite happy with the version i have of it by Ian Warren and Murray Hall.
Ive never had any problems with it, least of all Runways etc in the wrong places.................

I'll consider it,................ ive placed it on my "Possible to-to" list, but i do have a lot of other sceneries in the que ahead of it.............

Is my new NZDN "Vatsim Friendly".... ?????
