Welcome to Waihi Beach, a popular summer holiday beach resort located just North of Tauranga City,
on the East Coast, in the North Island of New Zealand.
A simple scenery enhancement of the airfield, and also includes some added houses etc to represent the housing at Pio's Beach and Athenree that are not there in FS9.

UMmmmm,Well done Lawrie,Don't quite know how to tell you this but you may have been just in time for this one,one way of preserving history as it were.Waihi airport is up for relocation.The word is that the powers to be are going to relocate it on the other side of the ditch.It is also going to be made longer so that slightly bigger aircraft can land on it.The current landing area I believe is going to have something like 35000 ton of rock put into it,I think they are going to either put on or extend a motel unit on it,sometime next year I think.I will try and get more info on it if you want.
