I'm going to tone the paint intensity a wee bit and also fix the misalignment on the right engine nacelle. That plane is hard on the eyes!

Was there really a Convair painted up like that :o

Never seen it before, and a plane that bright would be hard to miss!

I see also in your last screenie that there appears to be an AI paint of the Sounds Air Islander - where is that one from?

Why Steve, it was in GNZLAP Pack 3!
You mean you haven't installed it yet??

(Never mind, I also get the odd surprise  )

Well........................

There may or may not be a CV-580 painted like that for NZ Couriers. I have had absolutely zero success in finding any photos of NZC aircraft other than the Air Freight NZ CV's with the NZC stickers on the rear fuselage. The paint scheme was described to me and I kind of took it from there.

If anyone has some images that they could share, that'd be great. I'd love to paint it accurately. Until then, I'll just keep this "flying lightbulb' one flying around. ;)

BTW, I've fixed the ACM scoop (it's now red) and the misaligned engine nacelle paint. Couple of other minor things too.

NZCs vehicles are kind of iconic and stand-out on the roads here in NZ, so anything wrong with having something iconic and stand-out in the air as well ?? ;)
Just a thought .............................., something unique and different.........??

Sorry Charl, guilty as charged :D

I am an inveterate tinkerer when it comes to AI, so I had only partly installed bits of the GNZLAP - nice surprise to see that the Sounds Air Islander is in there though.

Apologies too for the lack of input so far for release 4. I've had an exhausting schedule recently and even when I get the time I am finding it hard to get motivated. Hopefully I can still contribute some more paints, even if I miss the release date :(

Hi Andrew. Yes, we have all the different paint schemes of the Airfreight NZ CV-580s for the 2nd release, and the Air Chathams CV-580s will appear in the 3rd release.
We could tone down the "Flying Light Bulb" a litttle, if thats what people want...
