Posted: Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:17 pmI have been using Peter Salzgeber's Lama V.2 freeware in FS9 for a while and was really impressed. So when I discovered he was doing a version for FSX I knew I had to get it. So when I looked a few days ago and found it had been released (finally) I hit the buy button!
For me there has always been something missing from many helicopter sims, a cargo hook!!! Lama X offers not just a cargo hook with 8m,16m and a special 50m rescue line. But there is also a spray version (with effects), a night ops version, a version equiped for heliskiing (complete with skis in the basket), 2 full blown rescue winch versions (one for acceleration missions) and finally a plain old passenger transport version (still with a hook slung below its belly) For the heliski and passenger vesions there is a facility to have the passengers visible for outside views.
The download also includes some scenery for Switzerland comprising of 5 high alpine huts (all over 9500ft altitude) and 2 of Air Zermat's bases. As well as 6 missions (all involving the sling of winch) the download is close to the same size as the PMDG MD-11.

This is a great add on, all that is needed is some NZ repaints!!
