Can anyone tell me whether the Overland A380 has operable PAX and/or cargo doors? How realistic is the model in terms of, say, wing flex?
All comment much appreciated.
Thanks,
CLF

Hi,
I own the both the Boeing and Airbus overland packages, and I love them! I have the FSX updated packages, but I think that its essentially the same as the FS9 version.
To answer your questions: The Airbus 380 model, as with all the models, comes with dynamic wing-flex. It's the most realistic exterior model I've seen. The attention to detail, from the placement of pito tubes to the spectacular under gear, is superb.
The model comes with openable L1 and L2 doors, as well as both the front and rear cargo compartments. The virtual cockpit is mediocre and the panel is pretty terrible. That and the fact you will need to download a better soundpack (but fortunatly there are some great ones!) are the only real drawbacks. I guess the flight modeling might not be accurate, but I don't really know! It certainly doesn't simulate fly-by-wire like the WILCO A380 does, but then these planes are more about having a collection then individually complex and complete aircraft modeling.
Anyway, I hope that answers your questions!
