Just downloaded an Air NZ Dash 8 Q300, how do I get the panels, gauges etc to come up? I'm guessing I have to copy files from the aircraft folder to some folder(s) in the FS9 folder?

Usually you copy the gauge files into the FS9/Gauges folder smile.gif

The file should have a read me with it ,but failing that you should find that some of the image files and cfg should go into the panel folder of the model you are playing with and gauges indeed if they have them would go into the gauges folder ,,look for the model in aircraft folder in the model aircraft folder there will be folders named "MODEL" "PANEL" TEXTURE etc the files should belong to that PANEL folder etc... but plz check the read me first and see what it says first ...

Depending on the aircraft you downloaded, they will usually alias a panel back to a default aircraft (for example the King Air or the Learjet or 737) so make sure you still have the default aircraft installed.
Also, if it's just a repaint for a particular plane, make sure you have that particular plane installed. Hopefully you didn't just download a repaint for a PSS or Majestic Dash 8, as they will not come with model/ sounds/ airfile/ panel etc..

It would help to know what file you downloaded and from where smile.gif As Creator said.. read me files are usually a must read.

Thanks.
Its a model, just has grey areas instead of panels.
I got it from here: http://www.premaircraft.com/fs24dash83dld/index.html

Upon closer inspection there are lots of readmes to read, lines to change in files etc in the Panels folder.
Gonna be a long night...

Update: References to .gau files which I cannot find huh.gif

This one is an easy install really, did you install the panel/ gauges package as well? There are two downloads at the top of this page, one for the panel, the other for the sound. You need the panel one as well as the model in the very least.
The instructions on how to install it are on that page smile.gif

Cripes, didn't see that. I just downloaded the Air NZ model lower down the page.
I'll install those tonight.

Thanks!
