Some will call it the real ugly duckling , the thing that intrigues me with this model is the engine and power management

a couple of brilliant videos at the A2Asimulations forum , best to d/load the hi-res

This is is a definite for me , and really will require those Navigation Charts , I hope A2A dont put in a cheat GPS mode in .

Its almost like every crewman having a set of controls .... who needs the Captain other than turn left , turn right , and the other importants ones ........ um huh.gif ... oh yeah , Up and Down rolleyes.gif

The Variants range from the 50 connie compieition , the airliner to the the tanker KC-97 and its models to the C97 transports , even electronic EC's to HC rescue , even going as far as a designated MC medvac .

For people not quite sure , it lineage comes from the B-29 Superfortress / B-50 .

come to think of it and quickly looking at it again it looks like the guys that designed it were at a trailer park in the 50s ,can you see that shape like a caravan ??

They also have a Large NZ history Connection with the USAF C-97 transports in the 60s for 'Operation Deep Freeze' and of all things ! Pam Am flew the first civil flight from Christchurch Oct 1957 ! and as you said , nothing automated here , every flightlevel required very dynamic adjustment to the engine settings .

B377...... If you really want a challenged to operate a heavy laden 1950s airliner , this Boeing is as close to the possible for a PC

With the Accusim addon you really can break things and go no were quik , a real period sim !

love the navigation setup .. not the MS GPS .. near every switch and knob works .. go the wrong way , you get told off buy the engineer

you seriously have to watch the instruments as your ALT climbs .. correct and adjust or ...... sad.gif

autopilot is a dream to operate , NO 2D the entire models cockpit is VCcontrolled so you are required to go to each crew
position if you start playing around with things you should,t touch ninja.gif

each one off these windows do fog up in temp changes , you can see i turned the gauge up (left pilot armrest ) and a slightly fogged
glazed panel , ha ! i was told to turn the defroster on by the copilot .. tongue.gif

mmm Boeing 377 .... biggrin.gif .... Boeing 737 ... smile.gif .... Just Boeing

Was wondering what you'd been up to...
A2A really went for it on this one, by all accounts.
You flying it with Accusim on?
If so, we'll understand if you go a bit quiet - those aircraft didn't have multi-crew positions for no reason, y'know.
EDIT: I just realised - this thing sits under the Super Guppy!
