the model its very detailed. im going to wait for the dodo huey tho, which will hav way more realistic systems and flight dynamics.

Hell yeah ill proberly get both but the Aerosoft one looks good detail and thats what i like in saying that unless the Dodosim is FSX ill do just fine with Aerosofts one thanks man i had forgot they where doing this one thumbup1.gif

All I can say is - frame rate killer. Nice modelling even though the proportions and shape don't look right to me. I have huge problems with modellers making every last detail in 3D. What is the point in having 3d nuts and bolts in areas where most FS flyes can't even see them, yet the lower frame for the front windows has few polys giving it corners (instead of a smooth curve) in an area which will be in view most of the time ?? To me this is modelling for the sake of it, not modelling to be effective in FS.

From that topic by Mathijs Kok (on behalf of Aerosoft)
QUOTE
We'll need to simplify a bit for sure. But keep in mind that all that's done in bitmaps or bumps will not shade. So a real 3d object, if it can be afforded regarding performance, is always better. In the H-1, F-16 and this project we really experiment with maximum modeling. In other project (like the Catalina) it's framerates that rule.
QUOTE
No way, not even a fifth of this model could be compiled for FSX
QUOTE
For sure all standard FSX failures will be implemented, but this will be a project based more on modeling then on systems.
so i guess they have alot to remove but still a very nice looking chopper
