If it's the one I have, fairly recent (cheap) payware.
I'm glad you beat me to it FV, I am collecting for WOW...

:( Payware I'm afraid, although won't put to big a hole in the pocket, as Charl said relatively cheap, and comes with P-40E and N in RNZAF schemes, and a very good paint kit.

A couple of WIP shots, still need to resize the lettering, fix the nose colour, tidy up the tail, put on the A29 serials, add 'Currawang' lettering to the LHS, rid the white bands on the wings etc etc....

And don't forget: no GA-C codes on starboard side, and serial A29-1050 in larger black letters on starboard instead of yellow -448! Otherwise not a bad jb, looking great! Damned lack of N-1 model....grr...

Yeah...I think this is Alex's pic but I know he won't mind helping out here...

Thanks for that, I've got a couple of poor photos I took at Ardmore in '05 of the Starboard, and photos i took at Whenuapai last year of the Port side as she displayed mostly west to east, but never realised it had always had GAC on the Port only.
Easy fix :D

Fauville Looking a wicked paint :) , we have the 51 and spit , a lotta airshow display pilots give the P40 , heck. love the thing , The late Mark Hanna considered the the type as the best warbird for display , or least was his favourite .

Too true, Ian - same with his late and much lamented father Ray - he considered the P-40 the perfect aeroplane. At least, I think he did...

Great work Senor Fau! Truly superb effort!

The P-40 is underrated in my opinion - it served well in the Pacific & Asia and to a certain extent in North Africa - just couldn't cope in Europe - different conditions tougher opponents.

Agreed! She's always been a big favourite of mine. A pilot friend of mine says that if you try the Spitfire and P-40, odds are you'll find the P-40 a nicer plane to fly. I just love the look of it, the shape just seems right. And nowadays you can take a friend along for the ride!

OK done except for the aerial mast which I cannot yet locate on the textures  , unless somebody knows where to find it I might have to do some radical fluro orange painting to see what pops up.

How long til this baby's overdue? And any chance you'd contemplate doing NZ3009/ZK-RMH for the IRIS P-40E? I'm sure we can all chip in enough pics.

Apart from tracking down where the aerial mast is on the textures its done....... :)
EDIT:I have 'pinked' all white surfaces textures and all other textures and checked, but nothing, looked at all the paint schemes that come standard with the model, regardless of colour scheme all masts are white, so is it to do with the model?? will have to remain I'm afraid.

Yea could do with some shots of 3009, never seen her 'in the flesh'

You have FS Repaint...just draw a fat red line over the picture and see where it shows!

ZK-RMH lives just down the road, so if your looking for a paticular angle of the aircraft to paint (if you choose to paint it ofcourse) just flick me a pm and I'll see what photos I can dig up. Same with the Corsair.

Great work on Currawong though, can't wait to fly her!

Like some nice high res close ups of the flying tiger logo, both sides, brietling logo, more detail than anything

Nice,

my grandfather was a flight mechanic on these, he loved them, a tough aircraft that could take on the zeros and other japanese aircraft that was in the theater of operations. he was based in the islands and the aircraft was easy to care for and keep in the air.

nice work keep it up :)
