Just found a new add-on for FSX, and one that might be suitable for a repaint job for NZ. This add-on got me thinking that I hadn't seen the Dominie that was based at Queenstown for a while. Just added to flightsimworld on 14th March, so I am downloading it as we speak!!

Also recently released on the same site is the Fokker DR-1 triplane (Red Baron), the BaE Harrier Jump Jet, all for FSX.

Mmm that site is sailing pretty close to the wind, some of the downloads are there without proper accreditation.

WHat I did find was a YAK-52 which I'm going to turn into an AI mule and paint up a Kiwi fleet!

Just about to post some screenshots in the screenshots section with the DH89. Tried out the DH89 already, ok but not fantastic compared to other FSX add-ons but nice to have a classic 'lady of the skies' to fly as well. Taxying with such a high nose ain't easy, but once the tail is up then all is fine again.

Never flown a DeHavilland, but does anyone know if they did not use flaps for take-off? There only seems to be one (fully down) position on the DH89, so perhaps they only ever used flapless take-offs. Anybody know?

That's quite common for planes of that era -- the flaps are basically barn doors, and are full on or off -- the Spitfire is the same. So no, no flaps on take off.
