Just found this RAAF Wedgetail over at flightsim.com. I like how the military soup up airliners...

At Woodbourne with a Kiwi P3K2

Heading home across the ditch

Only problem is there's no VC (yet).

Nice shots ......theres is also the P-8 Poseidon (P-3 replacement) also based on the 737 which will eventually make it into RAAF service (ive just being reading about it) ...and hopefully the RNZAF.

Also entering RAAF service are A330 tankers and they have just received C-17s so yea as Ian says their armed services are pretty flash

Mmm don't feel too badly about this gents, downside of those flash toys is the Australian sons have to use 'em in anger, sometimes in dangerous places.
I'm perfectly happy sitting over the Tasman watching them play, thanks.
Having said that, I love watching things like the Wedgetail emerge on the scene, and marvel that somehow they fly!
It looks like a giant popup toaster that's popped, and with lots of teeth.
Imagine trying a crosswind landing in that thing...

Awesome shots! Is it just me or does the Tail fin look too big?

Yeah it's to compensate aerodynamically for the popup toaster antenna
