Hi everyone :)

I thort id tell you all what helped me to do repainting.
heres some links to the AWSOME tutorials that made it all so easy.

sadly there never was a 4b and 5.

So ill try my best to explain how to get your work into the sim.
This is what I did.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly youl need adobe paint shop or something simarler.
And download DXT.bmp here.

Once yourve gone threw all the tutorials and now have your textures do this:

SAVE YOUR WORK BEFORE CONTINUING: :)
In the layers window right click on one of them and select "flatten visible" now
just use the navigator tool to find half way across your fusalarge textures (1024pix) and to the top of the texture (29 up) so your navigator should say something like 1024x11px.

now with your mouse in this excact posistion just use the selectin useing the marquee tool and sellect from this point right across to one of the cornors and it should look like you have half of the fusalge selected then hit control x.

next start dxt.bmp and select "load extended image" and find were you have the ifdg paintkit and open the fuse texture.
then make sure that dxt has paintshop as your editor and select "send to editor" from the menu bar not the bar on the right.

In paintshop there should now be a "norm.bmp" and with that up hit control v and drag your first half to were it should go (very easy to see were :D ) and then go back to your fusalrge image and select the other half of it in the same way (remember to be precis with this) and paste i in the norm image.

Repeat the step for the other side of the fusalarge!
Once you have "nom.bm" all nicely done go "save as" and go to "c drive" as this is were dxt temporaraly saves the texture. make sure you make it so that itl save as a bmp file with the name "norm" and hopefully itl ask if you want to overrite and go YES :) Paintshop will then ask your "bitmap options" make it 16bit (correct me if this is wrong lol) and then go to dxt and select "reload after edit".

Youl have your textures in dxt now i hope and select "save extended image" (I cant get this wrong theres only one option!) save it too were you loaded the texture from and save it as the same name and overwrite it. DONE!
You can do this for all the textures itll just be a bit different but youll figure it out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope iv explained how too finish what you learnt in thoose great lessons and if something is wrong please tell me as this is MY way of doing it that I figured out myself so I dont know if its "correct" or not but it worked with ojo so I hope it will for you!
I hope this helps ;)

Happy painting
James :)
