Excellent news. A lot of demand out there for a decent BK-117.
Hopefully the completed model measures up and fills the gap.

I'm a huge BK117 fan myself, so I downloaded it straight away. It's a really nice model, textures look a lot better than the model that's available at the moment. Only thing I've found is that it "shakes" or "vibrates" when you get about about 90kts, but I'm sure that's something that will be addressed and fixed when they release the full version, none the less still a superb chopper to fly.
Hehe, repainters
I WANT LION FOUNDATION LIVERY FOR IT!!!!!!! plz

Untill yesterday I preferred the the EC135 from Heiko Richter (I found the heli today only at
http://www.fsimzone.com) with many good looking repaints, but now there is a new favorit: BK117 (in reality some years I was a flying doctor in the BK). After some improvements (among other things sounds, nervous reaction) this project will be addictive.

so is there anyone making some repaints for it ???if not ill start i suppose oh and the handling of that chopper is sweet and that doesnt happen to me till 149k at lest
but it handles to me like alot of my payware ones so im happy all round apart from the doors all opening at the same time and not set key for each (it is a beta )

As stated this model is better than any other Bk117 around but is average in a lot of areas.
I found it hard to land, as it does not want to slow down or descent easily with the collective fully down.

As it says it is only a beta model so hopeful when they release then final model they will fix all these small issues aswells as adding pilots
Repaint looks good! Is it of a particular regions westpac chopper?
eg. Auckland (which i dont think it is because of the sponsers) which leaves Christchurch or wellington?

That repaint is looking good Mike.
Did you ever relocate those Westpac textures you did for the Airmed BK-117? I still have your Lion Foundation ones.
I haven't downloaded the model to try. I'll wait for the finished product. Anyone know if it is going to be payware or freeware?
From the screenshots I'll admit to not liking the way the skid struts are currently modelled. Others may not agree. I'm not sure what it is, I think it may be that they appear too thin or long. As I say I'm not sure what it is.
But given this is a Beta version, I shouldn't moan. Apart from that small point - great so far.

yeah i do but they will be on disc somewhere now and as for the skids they are not far off but i notice there are like foot plates missing from these skids where the crew stand ,but i dont thing they will be changed ,and i think it is freeware project but i cant read german

In the ICARO-Forum is no mention about money - so I hope for freeware. To increase the appetite:
