Blackbox BN2 Sale

I never did want to pay lots and lots for an Islander.
But sales on at present, and at NZD10 or so, the Blackbox BN2 didn’t seem a bad buy.
Also plenty of liveries , although for some reason the Jankees repaint did not take?

I found one for Golden Bay Air’s ZK-EVO.
They fly in the Tasman area, so a flight out of Nelson, then.

What with all that weather around, it’d be a bit of a test.
That's the control tower on the left. :)

It’s an honest model of an honest aircraft.

I remember EVO being parked up on the apron at Invercargill for years after Aspiring Air ceased operations. Think it was with Barrier Air in between then and its time with Golden Bay Air.

Yes they seem to get handed on, and back, between all those now-defunct air enterprises.
There was a hull for a long time parked at NZNE.

Still, I'm having fun with the Blackbox model, it's just made for a hop over to Great Barrier Island.

You can do Stewart Island as well which I flew into a couple of years back in the front seat of an Islander

That's what sales are designed to do: empty out the last shekel!
MP some time??? :D

Y'know I've been tempted to give it a go for years, but it seems like WORK.
I am a <CTRL-E> and see how she goes kind of simmer :plane:

My bad, drove past there yesterday... it's a Trislander!

North Shore does seem to be home to these buses, alas no MSFS repaint for this one

 .. yeah only gotcha (for those that havent bought it yet, what's the holdup !!!) .. is that stoopid checklist you have to use to remove the chocks and intake covers, engines won't turn over without doing that (prolly a good thing). Woulda thought it would be easier to add a hotspot on them in the exterior view so you could just click them there? I farted around for ages trying to work that out ..

That and you have to select the external power (even if not using external power) on startup below the gen switches.

This nonsense must be in 2024 is it? I may look at it if the SU3 update sorts it out. Shortly I’ll be removing P3Dv5 from my machine to make way for it. That will be bitter sweet as I had some fun times in that. In the mean time I have 2020 running pretty well and looking very good.
I did have a similar experience as Deeknow but on the iFly 737 MAX. From cold and dark when I turned the batt switch on the only thing that worked was the OAT gauge. I restarted (a long process) but still the same. I deselected a “No ground vehicles” mod that I had just installed just in case this was affecting the MAX in some way. Nope. I did smack myself over the head when I discovered that the battery and alternator switches where in the off position on my Honeycomb Alpha control yoke.
Without trying to Hijack the thread, I can thoroughly recommend the iFly 737 MAX. It’s just been updated and it looks and flies very well. It is the Boeing equivalent to the Fenix A320. There will also be a lot more functionality added with a service pack that is currently being worked on.
