Removing a payware aircraft / locatating file?

Hi

I'm still getting my head around MSFS, yeah I know it's been out four years, but I've been away that long or perhaps I'm a slow devolper.

With FSX was easy find the airplane file and delete or add, but if it's not in the community folder under MSFS I'm a bit lost.

I'm trying to uninstall the original Captain Sim C-130 for MSFS - the one without the cockpit, then hopefully add the livery's for that into the Ver 1.1 which does have a cockpit!

When I add them to community folder they show up on the original 130 not the one I want I can see the payware skins - do I add the folders and files to there and edit the manifiest.json maybe?

Any help or better still an automated tool that someone can suggest would be appreacated?

Cheers Paul

Well it's going to be a different model for starters, so the textures must point to it.
I haven't fiddled under the hood of MSFS so be interested in your journey of discovery.

You'll need to edit the aircraft.cfg for the add-on liveries to point to the new C130 as Charl has said.
Open the aircraft.cfg, and look for a line that says:

"base_container = "..\CS_C130E"

Change that to:

base_container = "..\CSC130H"

Bear in mind that the non-VC model was a C130E, while the new one is a C130H, so there may be some textures missing or otherwise not displaying correctly.

Thanks for the advice. I'll tinker around when I have a chance.
