Beech 1900D

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Bandit » Thu Mar 15, 2007 6:41 pm

Just got home tonight after an overnight visit to Hamilton.

Went up and back in the Air NZ Beech. With the weather the wings were twisting and flexing so much I swear they were trying to flap. The the return flight was much smoother.
I managed to catch up with Squirrel350 briefly while I had some downtime before heading to the airport for check in. Lots of construction happening at the terminal.

Anyway back to the reason for this post.

Can anybody point me in the direction of a decent freeware 1900d?
I'd prefer one with a VC.

Before anybody asks - no I'm not trading in my Rotors, just thought I'd give it a try. Never know I might even like it. :P

There isn't really a good freeware Beech available, you can get an ok one from http://www.pmstone.com/Beech1900D.htm ;) .

If you are willing to splash out $20 or so, get the Beech from PMDG (www.precisionmanuals.com ;) ).

I recommend the PMDG one. It is the first and only payware package I bought. Well worth the money although at high pitch the sound tends to sound a bit more like the default King air, but still is very good with an excellent virtual cabin.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Yep, defo get the PMDG one if you can. It has an amazing quality model, easy on FPS with different detail versions and amazing VC's, panel and flight dynamics.

I used Mike Stones one for a year or so before getting the PMDG one, and I have to say that is a huge improvement, well worth the $$

Yus! hes giving in, knew it :D

Whatever you do don't get the mike stone model (no offence mr stone), itll just give you a bad opinion of the fixed wings, splash out and buy the quility one  For payware aircraft its a prety good price too..

FSFrance have just released theres...i wouldn't bother.

I got the PMDG beech on CD from ebay for £3. The C version is FAR superior. The VC has 3D switches and the guage refresh rate is maximum - as well as having more custom gauges. The exterior of both is lovely, but the D has a stupid forehead i cannot forgive!

I think the C version came with better sound as well?

Both the PMDG C and D variants will work in FSX too.

The PMDG C variant is WAY better, like someone said. The 1900d isn't bad, but it has the default King air gauges, plus some other stuff which detracts from it.

i downloaded just to have a look, but the front wheel doesn't even touch the floor. I can't criticise amatuer modelling because i'm awful...but contact points are so easy, i can do them...

you can see it's also sort of lumpy. (ok, i couldn't resist). Fs France do have a nice mig21 package with umpteen repaints and a nice looking panel.

I liked there Q300, im eager to see how this B190 turns out, hope they put some good detail into the panel systems. The only thing to I dislike about premier aircraft designs Q300 (and what we can see of this 1900) are the textures, they take ages to load when switching view and aren't really that nie IMO..

I look forward to this aircraft, good on ya premier aircraft! :plane:

yeh the premier aircraft 1900D has the same model issues as the French one by the looks of it, in fact they are trying to hide it so much with paint shine, take it from me the 1900D aint easy to model.

i agree pmdg is the one for me at the moment, not quite as good as the c model that i have seen, have to save my pennies and buy these (and get a c/card) and then convince the boss that i really need these, not much fn having to go to a mates place to fly these!! :)
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
