Bull Stearman in P3Dv3!

Following Charl's amazing screenshot entry, I thought I'd give this relatively ancient (but still awesome) add-on a trial in P3Dv3.
Incredibly, it works!! The only problems I've come across are the usual lights problems (very common P3D problem). Wing/nav lights don't show and the lower beacon texture is wrong. I may be able to fix these.

A super VC as well!

I'll post a link to the archive shortly (when I've checked which version is the one I found that works best).
Adam.

Be interested to hear if there are other issues in P3D, and if the lights can be mended.
If no, and yes: begs the question (again) of why should Developers not create for all the sims starting with FS9, and tweak as required.

I do hear a lot about developers having issues, weird thing is with P3D, it keeps building and changing so much that developers are trying to keep up in a way, so from FS9 to the now P3Dv3.4 appeartly causes issues in this area.

In the Dungeons of the Historic

Forums that I frequent, it is interesting to see from time to time, returnees from the complicated world of the ever-evolving New Sims.

When one looks at how FS9 preforms today its a rocket, hardware changed making it smooth as silk ... I do have to chuckle over those guys in Europe still building and developing on Flight Sim 98 ... land of the 'Borg cubes' for clouds.

I've fixed the wing nav lights, the lower beacon and tailfin strobe using a combination of P3D and Shockwave effects, but can't get the instrument lights or cockpit/cabin/dome light to work. I might have a go with ModelConverterX, but then I wouldn't be able to share the modified .mdl file(s).
Adam.
BTW: Does anyone know whether the strobe on tailfins are generally steady or flashing? I presume they're always white.

They always should be flashing, I doubt if a Strobe can run continuously.

Thanks Ian ... are they always strobes there - or are they (sometimes) just steady white nav lights? BTW - I often see VC switches labelled "Steady/Flash" - does that switch operate a different [physical] light in the same position - or is the power to it switched between the two modes?

I suspect you can put what you like on there - the model is hypothetical to a degree.
I have Shockwave lights on mine, do they work in P3D ?

They're not *supposed* to LOL - but I find mine all seem to work OK.
I'll post my aircraft.cfg edits here shortly.

Probably a bit lost in translation, Adam.
In FS9, lights are a little more subtle, and the beacon actually rotates
You probably need to watch full screen 1080 to see it:
