Interesting, that a FS 2004-Version is also underway. What about P3D? Let´s see. More or less soon.

Yep very close. The model code is nailed down now and it runs extremely well. A delight to fly and operate.
Just a few liveries to finish and she will be good to go.
There is no exact release date but if I were a betting man I would punt for a Thanksgiving release.
This will be a very well supported release and if you operate the iFly737 then you will know what I mean.
The initial releases will be for FS9 and FSX but P3D will follow.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

My one and only tubeliner is the Coolsky DC9 which I find very immersive. PMDG seems to be touted as the ultimate yet I've read good things about the Ifly 737. How do they compare?

I have he IFLY Boeing 737NG in use and the PMDG 737 not. The main difference is the Performance. Under FSX, DX-10 Mode with Steve´s Scenery-fixer I can fly into New York La Guardia von Drzewicki Design with his New York-Scenery on. I have a I5 760 "unmodified" with a medium ATI graficboard in use. On such a thing the PMDG 737 you can´t fly this with 20 fps and need an I7-system with a big graficboard.

The normal procedures in the IFLY Boeing 737 are the same as with PMDG and the flying characterisitics are also good. Inside in the VC the PMDG looks better, but this cost performance. The Ifly has not only a VC, and also a 2D-Cockpit, wich is in some situations better to handle. The IFLY Boeing 737 is much underestimated because of this PMDG-Drummlers...

But... this is only a "private statement".

You can find at avsim a review.

Pleased you posted this Andreas, lot of people buy models/aircraft and simply they will work not on their systems, least many think they will work to them with optimist but then they find problems, complain and get themselves let down.

I really enjoyed the PMDG 747 but now spent all my sim time driving the Ifly 737. Can't wait for their P3D 747 to come out.

Having the choice of VC and 2D panel is great with the iFly. Also you all the variants from 737-600 thru 900 and BBJs.
Also having the FMC recognise the RF leg typs is great for those RNP approahes and departures.
Graphically the PMDG may be ahead but I really like the FDE with th iFly product. It's really good.

This maybe the choice for both types with the smaller PC... ie: laptop and since you did drive the big buggers that is a superb recommendation smile.gif
