Hi guys,

Learning to do some repaints, and starting right from the beginning.

But a wise man once said "learn something new everyday"

Anyway, I have been working through some tutorials and I am fairly happy with the progress so far.

But when I save my work all the layers lock, so I cant re-open it and get back to the layer I want to change.

How do I stop this from happening.

using Photoshop CS3.

Cheers

Stu

Hiya Stu,
Im a CS3 user and the best way to do things and keep the layer path is to use SAVE AS to save files. even if you are just doing a progress save, then after the save is complete, use UNDO or STEP BACKWARDS function and it will re expand all the layers.

hope this helps some

Yep tried all that my lock button becomes greyed out and no longer works, the other thing is that I don't lock the layers in the first place CS3 seems to do it when I save the job

Hi Stu, Don't know if you got sorted...
I know this is a silly question / Idea, but! I understand that the padlock only can be unlocked if the document is a PSD file. So if you have a jpeg up for instance the padlock is not functional. - Needs a photoshop file to work.
