QUOTE
This 737 Classic Series began it's development at Enigma, but will take shape and mature under the QualityWings brand.... We will provide more information about the scope of the 737 in the coming months as things start to take shape. But the Ultimate 737 Classic Series will include the following Passenger models: 737-300, 737-400, 737-500, EFIS and Non-EFIS flightdecks will be included.... Systems programming will be on par with (and may exceed in some areas) the Ultimate 146.[/quote]

PS - please let's not have the usual Classic vs classic debate in this thread, its an unnecessary distraction

What What What .. now who would create such dramatic distraction 'CLASSIC'
Looks good , but really .... how many more 737's do we need ? Its a shame some this creative juice couldn't be squeezed into an fsx F-4 .... or an F-27.
But it looks good.... and will no doubt occupy a corner of my hanger in the future.

I second the F27

Marty, you're right that there are 2 decent payware options for the 1/200 series, and the NGs.
But, there is only one halfway decent payware Classic 737 out there, ie the Feelthere one, and that has its issues both cosmetically and functionally. This one has some promise and should keep the 300-500 fans happy for the future I reckon.

Deeknow .... your right , i do like the 500.
SINCE its all Classic but not really a F27 but a real Classic is the word on a C141A ... now that's Ultimate
In some ways I was looking forward to the freeware plane from Enigma, but still quite exciting news!

Sorry to hijack the thread ...
Yes , but this could go on and on , i think its hard and maybe not even possible to hang that label on any aircraft . It depends on your interest. The 141 was a great aircraft , but it was preceded by a great one , and followed by several others that also deserve the title ... but its subjective .
The herc for example (in its area) would get all the awards , but if size is your thing , then the C-5 must be a contender , and so on and so on.
But as deeknow said " please let's not have the usual Classic vs classic debate in this thread, its an unnecessary distraction " and we wont .

I think they sold heaps , and developed more models ... and sold heaps of them too.
And their still going
Yet another 737... I suppose someone has seen a niche for it...
Problem is nobody will buy an Avia 56 but a 737 is understood by many.
Pretty sure Ariane did a -500 too, later for Effeh Sex also.
Sure it was a bad customer experience, but the model was pretty advanced as I recall.

In 1985 they outstripped the Boeing 727 in selling, not in numbers produced at the period but went on a 2 to 1 ratio and it never looked back.

The Ariane Classics were FS9 only, the NGs are FSX.
Some of the people from Enigma have changed the Job and now their Boeing 737 is Qualitywings.

Tell you one thing Andreas, QW really hit a spot with me and the 146, think its the 787 that is going to see me return to this company ... that Whisper-jet is just gorgeous ! .. owning a PMDG NGX keeps me quiet on the modern 737 front and Captain Sims for the Classic.
Hey Andreas. I merged your thread with another we had over in the Announcements forum. Hope you dont mind
