Iv just bought the Aerosoft A320 Extended and the Autopilot has me stumped I cant adjust the values for Altitude Heading or airspeed, this is what the manual says

There are two modes possible for airspeed, heading and vertical speed. Switching between modes is done by pulling (right click) the knob.
 Selected Functions
o In selected mode the pilot controls speed and lateral/vertical navigation. After pulling the knob the pilot can rotate the knob to set the desired value. When the knob is pushed (left click) the current value for that function is inserted.


where it says after pulling the knob the pilot can rotate the knob, but it doesn't seem to work?

please help!

I'd have to spend an couple hours looking at it again , nothing like a Boeing AP but i was able to work it out with reading manuals .. it is not as simple as the historical AP .. they had to go and make it alls yuppy and such .

Hey Terry. All the Bus models I've had you set the HDG (or ALT) first by rotating and THEN pull to engage it.
I guess you've figured out that PUSHING it puts it back in FMS controlled mode.

Its Ok now I found you have to use thw mouse wheel to rotate it

Thats the basic rule for an Airbus. Pull a knob towards you and you have control and push to the aircraft and the aircraft has control...if you understand that logic!

yeah well the only airbus iv operated is the default one which is not realistic - so its good to see how a real Airbus operates! winkyy.gif

Since I bought the Extened A320 my frame rates go from 35-40 down to 10-15 in city areas is there anything I can do to chage this?

I don't watch for frame rates , 10-15 or less is what you get coming into any major airport setting with Max settings ... one you might want to post is screens showing settings and what your looking at , I run everything 100% even with loss of frame .

Yeah you're dreaming Terry if you think you're gonna get 30-40 over a built up area with anything resembling max sliders and decent scenery. It just aint gonna happen.
Also, if I was you I'd get a login for the Aerosoft forums for support on how to fly the A320X, not that many owners here at nzff AFAIK.

I do not own the A320X , neither do I fly any Airbus actually. That is because there is not good Airbus for the Flightsim yet.

I have the Airsimmer A320 and it -can- do a managed climb and stuff, can the Aerosoft product do that as well?

If you're ok with programming the FMC it should work all well.

So when you take off, you put the thrust leveler into a special position so it reaches TO/GA. Once you're done with the take off (gear up, v2) there's a little sign above your speed tape.
It should read MCT CLB or alike.
