There are many search engines for aircraft types but im guessing this one won't even be listed , closes would a 'Lakes' brand .. other s would be Grumman's Duck and even the most recent looking the decor and most suited would be the DH-60

In one of his other videos he comments (11 days ago) that he plans to release his aircraft, but he hasnt because he "fools himself into thinking there are other things to be added" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAzNNG1-Oh0 ).

Gidday Paul , I'll have to try that that little VJ22 sometime , Its the Short S.23 Empire I'm very interested in , hope we are going to see more of the build .. course we wont be able to see trial runs and first flight but be great if a little movie is posted , we have quite a few current RC boys here , one Chris "lowglow" is going to love to see this one ... avid float plane flyer more follows the Schneider Trophy , more a historian on it as well and we Paul "Naki" who him and his dad into the land planes .

Yep the Short Empire is a great plane as well as the Short Sunderland. New Zealand (and Australia) have a wonderfull flying boat history. I watched 1132 pictures from: http://natlib.govt.nz/photos?text=flying+boat

And why I wanted the Volmer VJ22 in FSX ? : I built 2 flying rc models being 1x 1:5 and 1x 1:10 scale

What an awesome model Paul, definitely interested in seeing progress pics on this one. As Ian said I am an avid modeler and really enjoy float planes/flying boats. I am restoring a 15 year old model of the Macchi M39 Schneider Trophy racer Here is a link to my SkyDrive page with some photos of the model.
I am also restoring a Nick Ziroli Swoose I am hoping tho have this one finished for our clubs annual float fly in July

You have two great airplanes on hand with a very nice history !
The Swoose looks fantastic, very nice aircraft.
What kind of engine are you gonna use ? Electric or fuel ?
The M39 entered my life when I was 7 yrs old. Bought an Airfix plastic kit from my pocked money
put it together and painted it blue. It was for many years hanging on the ceiling of my room en was later
heavy damaged when the family moved to another city, and that was the end of the plane.
Wish you alot of success in restoring the M39. Saw the pictures: big job !
When using FS9 or FSX I only fly the old props and most of the flights using float planes.

Hi Paul
I am using glow motors in both aircraft. The Macchi will be powered with an RCV91CD four stroke, I choose this because the engine is a rotory valve type meaning its smaller size will allow it to fit entirely within the cowling. The engine is being run in, in a Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk at the moment.
The Swoose is now fitted with an OS 46AXmax with a Mac tuned pipe.The Swoose is an interesting model as it has a long history, original starting of as a rubber band powered free flight development of 30 odd years now sees it available as a 40 sized R/C model.
I have had a good look over your build and I must say you are doing a beautiful job The Short aircraft and for that mater the Catalina also have always been a favorite of mine.I am guessing that you will be powering her with electric motors

To be covered by non shiny aluminium coloured Solartex
Allready purchased this material, but now studying the way how I will cover the hull as I want windows and interior which
windows should not be covered by paint or whatsoever.......

Are there any New Zealand sea base sceneries available ?

I am sorry for the Dutch text, but pictures actually do not need text........
Decided to cover the tail section with balsa 1.5 mm as that hopefully prevents damage when removing those
parts for transportation later.
