Where to go with this bird?
I know: a place where there are steep approaches and departures, and stringent noise limits:

External model pretty good, ground cart goes Grrr

The office is pretty much complete, lots of things to click and push

Haven't managed to get beyond the walkaround yet, but the fact that there is a "lite" panel configuration implies that there is also a "heavy" one.
The video clip I saw took 5 minutes to get the thing started!

I thought EGLC should have more of these, and went back a little earlier in the day and found them!

Oh that does look nice....is their any NZ repaints of it?..although I guess that needs to be the BAe-146-200/300.

A few NZ airlines that have flown that model...Ansett NZ (at least two schemes), Qantas NZ, Air NZ (Mount Cook), Air National and now Vincent

Not yet... as mentioned the 146 will arrive around Christmas time, sure there will be Australasian liveries there.

Amazing! How on earth do you get your screenshots so crisp? thumbup1.gif

I've waited *so long* for a decent 146 ...

Heh... can't tell you how much I enjoyed that comment!

Plenty of liveries, I think QW may have covered all the operators!
This on the RJ100:

I took a punt and pressed CTRL-E and by gum it started!

It certainly can pop up, why am I so reminded of the C-17??

Coming back down, it's quite slippery, and they do this split-tail thing quite early

Spoilers pop up when wheels are down

No reverse thrust, and it's nip and tuck on the brakes

Next will be to learn the systems... back next week.

Further fantastic screens , obviously still FS9 biggrin.gif

Good friend was sent to Hatfield , one of lead/chief of the 146 Ansett fleet , had a chance to see the maintenance video for training , had a construction and points of the plane .. one thing mentioned was the wheel base is wider the the C-130 by half again course the biggest let down was it low hi-alt cruz speed .

Yes it was built to a very specific short-haul city hopper requirement.
I am wondering if a new engine would not give it another lease of life in the present times.

The RJ model did have a new engine over the 146 models...it didnt help that had 4 of them..a more radically modfied RJ with two engines would of been better but by the time the RJ100 etc came out Embraer anbd Bombardier had better alternatives.

More like FS9.999999999999999!

A good old (Dutch) friend of mine flies Bae 146's for TNT all around Europe. He loves the aircraft.

They seem to be as popular as peanuts for night transports with TNT , Graham love the thing but a nickname for himself for carrying more fuel than most the other pilots , guess what made him the choice just his safety standards .

Very nice Charl. And stunning pics.
Does this plane have an autothrottle?
I suppose I could just download the manual, but this might be faster and save my the time I already don't have biggrin.gif
"Complexity, simplified.." I'm not surprised it started with CRTL+E , in fact, I'm glad to hear it.

Me too, I reckon it shows good insight into the mind of a flightsimmer when you can ease into the thing at your own pace, but still be able to Kick the Tyres, Light the Fires to see where its at.

Now then, page 143(!) of the Manual speaks about autothrottle.
This what you were thinking?

Now i wonder if i should invite Captain Grahame Taylor winkyy.gif to test a flight when the FSX model arrives or should we let Captain Tom ZKVAC (victor -alpha - charlie) to test the model winkyy.gif
