Anyone got it yet? How complex is it?

From the JF screenies it seems like it doesn't ship with a BEA paint, which is bizarre to me. I'd like a Monarch one too, - remember seeing those at Heathrow back in the day.

Quite exciting, - probably have to get this, - not often we get payware classic British airliners.

Did TEAL/Air New Zealand have them? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Wow, - great pic of the overshoot at Wellington.

Hopefully someone will manage a NAC paint at some point.

I now have the final release version so I'll give a full report later.
I was a beta-tester for it, but I think they could have done a much better job with that program. I'll let you know the pros and cons with this addon in the future.

Beauty of a livery! Too bad we couldn't convince them to give this to us as part of the base pack.

The early ones were the snazzy sixties type , on checking , have been three different versions , the one above and another similar and the final livery of 1975 , may just have a look cos as you said JF are notorious to paint .

Cheers Marty , Actually its quiet amazing with so few from 1958 up to the mid 60 how many variations of this paint , but both Dunedin and Wellington ended in major mishaps .

Dunedin had the windshear at Welly and Wellington had by accident its undercarrige instead of flaps retracted , old Christchurch survived as you no too sit a Ferrymead Museum and Auckland with the last Palmerston North went off shore , even then the schemes changed considerably over a short period .

I still couldn't decide if I want to buy this JF Viscount. I'm not a big fan of JF. Nothing wrong with them, but their target consumers are not the hardcore simmer (like us) but the occasional guys, who look at FSX as a game, and not so keen on learning all those complex aircraft systems (nothing wrong with that either). Well, I need something at least as real as Rick's HS768. The external sounds of the JF Viscount are rather odd, the texture is HD but not realistic, and most of the systems are not modelled (I know this from 'unhappy' JF Vsicount owners). 2 guys ended up asking their money back... I reeeeally wanted to fly I nice Viscount... I know that there is a freeware FSX version, and it looks fantastic for a freeware but I'm looking for payware standards here... No Viscount, no F27 Friendship...How come we don't have proper turboprops for FSX from the 80's era? Developers don't see the potential in them? Probably we should ask A2A smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

A2A B 2 BUSY , as for the dart power 60s 2 80s and still going strong in a few operations , as they said Darts were like agricultrual machinery they were that simple , today the cry is for the Fokker F27 Friendship ( I don't want your Fokker Friendship , I want your help - Joke ) sorta missed the pile and with all its history , hells even the Yanks liked em so much they got a licence to build , enda the day you get whats giving ... A2A s B377 cool.gif ... or a Default type .. most are to lazy even asking for the special stuff ... of recent the TU154 .. now that friggen brill ! ... but you get the ..... oh dont have time for that ... sleep.gif

It a curious mix of different Viscount marks and generally very innaccurate.

It is more an 810 rather than a 800 and a lot of the liveries supplied are wrong for an 810.

There are things though the 810 should have but are wrong on this, the cockpit is a mix of various marks and the liveries contain many errors.

Even with a minimum of research it is hard to imagine how they could have got this so wrong and like their truly awful Comet, they were told in beta about error from those asked to look at it and ignored what they were told.
