Posted: Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:37 pmLot of memories from that livery. Back in '62 I was working for the FAA at Cold Bay out where the Aleutian chain begins. Tigers had a government contract to haul stuff to Southeast Asia - mostly weapons and ammunition - and Cold Bay was a refueling and crew rest point. At the time they were using 1649 Connies and the Canadair CL44. An interesting time - I got married there that year -still am, same woman .
