These are the top files downloaded from flightsim.com over the last year.
Avsim has such a link as well (though it's broken as I type this)
If an aircraft/ panel etc makes it into this list, there is a very good reason! You probably can't go wrong with things on this list.
I prefer the avsim top downloads list (in the file library) but the link seems down at the moment
