Forty nine greenbacks for the 'Little Friends' from Warbirdsim - now two to seven days 'til they're dispatched. Apparently no 'instant download' for them.

Turns out the email problems are because all of theirs arrive as 'spam' though we get all the other vendor emails. Gotta check the settings. My download link arrived and it states "/Download.do?orderID=" but after 336MB turns out to be an application folder named "upload33448P-51D". Can't run it without some kind of .exe. Waiting to check my 'spam' for more word.

Last time I looked Scott, from A2A said that the stang has been on the backburner again. They have got to get thier priorities wright or warbirdsim might steal their thunder. Its good to see warbirdsim pushing their bounderys and coming out with what looks like engine effects and engine management etc... aka "realism & immersion"

"stopgap".....lets wait and see, i still think A2A will have to pull something pretty good out of the hat to top this series(WBS).....and when/if they do....that will become a "stopgap" for the "next best thing"!! ....and so it go's on....and on and on.

I know what i like , and Im not getting caught up in and endless spiral chasing something that will never satisfy the rivet counters.
Im getting very disillusioned with the whole f/s scene at the moment.....ridiculous costs for average products..etc ...so nice to see the freeware guys keeping in the spirit of things.....and we even pick holes in their work ,........and yes Im guilty of that too.

But , i guess thats just the nature of the beast.....and who am i to comment.

Dave - I'll be interested to hear what you think of this one ... when you eventually get it, that is! winkyy.gif

Do you have the A2A WOP3 Spit? I wondered whether a comparison would be fair.

@Marty - have you tried that freeware MiG-21 yet? Plenty of fun for free! Might cheer you up a bit laugh.gif

@Ian Gotta love your creative use of the English language - but could you re-arrange the words in your post in such a way that we can get your drift? huh.gif Deciphering your comments is sometimes harder than winning a screencomp laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Adam - may never get the blessed thing. Right now I'm playing the 'why don't you try this' game with warbirdsim sales. My last reply contained 'issue a refund', usually an attention getter.

Thanks to 'Jankees' who had a similar problem, we're alive and well. Made two takeoffs so far - neither survivable smile.gif .
