What about one of these...Mk 22, or any "bubble top" Spit?....to be honest , you can have your Mk 1's and whatever, once they they changed the canopy and hung a Griffon on the front ...they had a real Spitfire

I m a little the same , but only 'A F Scrub' would have the aircraft models required , so underrated ideal for screens

Marty the only bubble top I've ever had is Plane Designs MK XVI

It behaves badly in FS9 so would not vouch for FSX
But it is more gorgeous than a Realair Spit.

Its a great shame RealAir did not do a teardrop MkXIV , the very example Sir Tim owned till his very unfortunate accident 1996 .

Im sure i have their spit on a disc somewhere along with their lanc.....looks like Im coming back to join you in FS9 for a while. Not a bad palce to be.

Connor , thats your Mk16 , i would go though the history and that is only a plastic jobbie - the real one is in Wigram , but has its own fame a movie starring Kenneth Moore as Douglas Bader .

Now that's what I call a backyard aircraft land and take off in your own backyard save driving to the airfield and cheaper than a chopper
