Can twin engine helicopters be accurately modelled in FSX? It seems that twin engine ones, like the Alphasim Sea Sprite, model only one engine. Opinions?

The Nemeth CH53 three engines appears to have it well modeled smile.gif

Yep! It takes a bit of extra work on the part of the dev team, but it's been done!

Examples:
Cera Simulations "Bell 212 and 412"
Nemeth Designs twins (I don't think the FDE is actually twin oriented, but they fake it so the gauge indications at least look like you are starting two separate engines).
Default EH-101 helicopter.

^^ They were able to accurately model twin engine operations on that, Nzeddy?

Only asking because I haven't heard the most shining reviews in terms of their products.... huh.gif

I think this became possible with Acceleration and the EH101 (even though its engine management and flight dynamics are horrible)- A post at Hover control would probably be best.

MalkyMoo, did you get the message I sent a few weeks back?

Thanks for replies. have tried Alphasim seasprite and both engines are tied. I head that FSX couldn't do twin engine for heli so wnted to find out. I also posted in the other part of NZFF about X-Plane as that may be a better option.

A little off topic
There is also this HTR link!! addon which takes FSX and helicopters to a new level ,the engines can be played with to simulate them better which is why ive mentioned it .

Timmo, I sure did. Haven't looked further yet but will do after next project. Thanks for the link and sorry not to have replied.
