Hey guys, I haven't been around here for awhile but I recently was re-motivated into Flight Sim and painting so I decided to paint the magnificent Crazy About Rugby livery that ZK-OAB currently wears for Air New Zealand. Here's some pics (The airport is Wellington):

What aircraft is required for that livery? It looks good, top marks!

This from the file on avsim :
File Description:
Airbus A320-232 in Air New Zealand "Crazy About Rugby" Colours. Aircraft modeled by Project Airbus and livery painted by Fraser Jeffery. The Model is included in the package and textures are saved in a high-quality format (32-Bit). Textures have only been tested in FS2004 but I don't see why it wouldn't work in FSX as long as the appropriate files are present.

Hope that helps smile.gif
Gary

And yes, looks very good !

Have just been playing with this in FSX Fraser and its all working well. Only one problem I can see which is a transparent dome section on the top of the fuselage, not a biggie tho.

For those that may not know there's an FSX-native model update for the ProjectAirbus A320 series available at avsim, see
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileN..._fsx_models.zip

And a lovely A320/30 2D panel too that works well by John J Schumacher/Schu Engineering, see
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=330dlx.zip

Thanks for checking it out in FSX. As I said in the description, I don't have FSX yet and it has only been tested in FS9. But I'll put those links in future readmes and things.
I'm contemplating whether to make the move to FSX, does anyone know if there's much difference in methods when painting for FSX?

I just uploaded the Air New Zealand Star Alliance Livery for the A320 on Avsim - I should have a link soon. Here's a couple of pics in the meantime:

Great stuff Fraser, another lovely repaint.

Oh, and FYI, after I updated the aircraft model with that link I posted earlier the mysterious transparent dome has dissapeared thumbup1.gif

Here's an FSX tip for ya, when you're uploading these repaints, include a small sized screenshot named thumbnail.jpg in your texture folder that way the repaint is visible for FSX users when they are selecting what aircraft to fly

Thanks Dean, good to know.
I might be looking to get FSX from MightyApe this weekend with this deal they've got going.

By the way, I'm currently painting the usual Air New Zealand Livery. It's somewhat simple so it should be good to go for upload tomorrow especially since the Pacific Wave is no more.

Fraser - Top effort. Best repaints I have come across for some time. Any chance of you doing an update of the standard livery ?None of the A320 fleet have the 'waves 'any longer. Maybe ZK-OJQ?

Oops - disregard above. Just re read the thread and see it's already underway
