Alternatives For Feelthere/wilco Boeing 737-300 To 500

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Hi,

Gentlemen, Iam in deep touble and can only hope, one of you guys has a good idea for me.
Well, I fly most of my flights in Russia in FS 2004, because of the complete lack of acceptable scenerys for FS X... no Moscow, no St. Peterburgh, no Murmansk, no Sochi, no Ekaterinburg... nearly nothing.
In reality, older models of the Boeing 737, the -300/-400/-500 have replaced in great numbers the aging Tu 134, Yak 40, Yak 42, Tu 154B-2 and other aircraft from soviet times. To do this in the simulation I have for years the feelthere/Wilco Boeing 737 in use... I was one of the first customers. Well, I know, it was designed for Windows XP. After a while, there was a newer version for Vista (only 32 bit?) but now for Windows 7 ... nothing. Only the FS-X-Version seems to be upgraded, but this is for me not of interest as You can see above.

Meanwhile my old computer, an AMD 3700+ was no longer acceptable, but the new one came with Windows 7 (64 bit)... and Iam in deep trouble. I did not want to go back to Windows XP, for one aircraft and have nothing from the more RAM and all those other nice things in the new machine... but I in need of a old Boeing 737.

Now Iam looking for alternatives... Payware... Freeware... anywhere... If Freeware, no Problem, I can integrate the ISD-FMC from Ernie Alström... and I do not need a PMDG-System-aircraft.
And for this aircraft Iam looking for typical russian Liveries like Donavia, Northavia, SAT, or ukrainian Donbass, Dniproavia, the belarus Belavia...

Any ideas?

If it runs in Vista it should be no problem in Windows 7 - is there some reason you think it won't work? I run the Vista version feelThere 737 in FSX on Windows 7 64-bit without any problem so should be OK in FS2004. Great plane, also my fav.

The gentlemen from Wilco told me via mail, that they no longer do something for FS 2004 and this aircraft. Yes, the current version "offical" works in Vista, but they told me, it "may work" in Windows 7 (64)... My first test was not very fortunate. The aircraft (737-500) was nearly uncontrollable in the moment I engage the Autopilot. It lost control of the vertical.

Hi - I fired up my old FS2004 with the Wilco 737-300 on my Windows 7-64 machine and had no problem at all. AP working just fine - LVL CHG and ALT HLD working beautifully.

What aircraft do you have as your startup flight - a non-default aircraft can sometimes cause AP problems

From looking at the FeelThere site it's clear that the only "supported" options for Vista/7 are FSX. This is a bummer for you, and is news to me (although I'm still on XP so run the 737 in both FS2004 & FSX).

But given that Wayne was able to run it under Win7 there may be hope. Listening to you describe the vertical control probs I wonder if there might be an issue with FSUIPC.dll maybe? Have you asked about this in the forums: http://forum.iemit.com/

The problem is solved. I have no idea why, but it is solved. My first atempt was to install the aircraft from my CD-Version. This one was from Just Flight... and it doesn´t work without and with the Patch ...

The second atempt was the VersionI had as one of the first customers online via Wilco. The version I had stored on my extern harddrive does not work...
Third atempt, new and fresh download from Wilco... sorry... and reinstall of the newest registred version of fsuipc.dll... now it worked! But I have no idea what happend. I have "flown" the aircraft meanwhile 10 hours and it worked really nice. All systems go.

And the CRJ, the ERJ 145 V. 2, The ERJ 170/190 and 175/195 V. 2 worked also. The Airbus Part 1 is the next on the list I check to fly it.
