I know some aircraft do not need a fuel pump for start up, so I got everything else prepped and turned the magneto over, the prop spun, the engine made "trying to start," noises but it wouldn't splutter into life. After 10 minutes of searching, figuring it must br the fuel pump, I had to resort to . . .Ctrl+E!!
. I never want to do that ever again, so is there a fix for this?
Hmmm weird it seems to say above fuel pump that it is auto but if it isn’t well then a switch is missing
I’ll do some more investigatingLast edited by Jamessx on Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:26 am, edited 1 time in total.

I did see that there, thought it might be an indicator light or something?

The mixture leaver was hiding under the throttle leaver. Ahh well, learn from your mistakes and all the rest. Don't think I'll be getting my PPL anytime soon though.
A day or two before I got my PPL I was flying along solo, put on some carb heat and the engine died!![]()
Then I realised I had pulled the mixture lever next to it by mistake!![]()
