I've been looking to get a decent F-18. I sort of want to avoid payware products (Its the pay part I really hate tongue.gif ) so who knows of any good freeware?

For FS9 or FSX the FSX acceleration pack has a F-18 with it.

For FS2004, put "HORNET" into the search box at avsim, and select category FS2004 Original Aircraft, and then hit go. Enjoy. smile.gif

Looks like it's for FSX.

Just buy Acceleration. There's not much freeware F18 Hornets for FSX as Acceleration includes it.

I've used the KBT Hornet before...... it was originally designed for FS9 although I see there's a 'tentative' FSX configuration update on Daisuke's page....... check it out HERE

I think you'll agree its better than the default FSX Acceleration F18?!?!?! rolleyes.gif

Sorry guys, forgot to tell you I am using FSX. What is the acceleration pack like in terms of value for money? With the team KBT f-18, are there any issues with using it in FSX?

Yup whathesaid.gif , Acceleration gives you 3 new aircraft (The F18, P51 and EH101). There's 20 new missions to fly if your into that sort of thing. I bought it as it also adds winch and underslung load capabilities to the heli's. I don't personally know about running the KBT F18 in FSX, but there's plenty of info on the net about it and the developers are offering support for it on the FSX platform. Just have a search (or click HERE) on FlightSim.com for the latest file............

The FSX acceleration pack is excellent,..the FA-18 that ships with it is pretty darn good, with a couple of addon files from avsim or flightsim that give it a much more complete HUD and systems. Cpt Sim X-Load FA-18 has the two seat version with configureable loadouts,..sometimes if you want the good stuff you have to pay for it....sometimes the price is justified,..sometimes its not so you need to do your homework for sure before you break out the CCard..
