Glorious!! ... one of so many great german designs.
Is it just me or does the A10/Thunderbolt kinda look like a modern take on the 219?

Yes, i think your right deeknow....there is a little A-10 in the 219....strange isnt it, there really isnt anything new in aircraft design.
With a few exceptions, most of it has been done before and just adapted in one way or another.

Nice looking model. Is that the aircraft type that had those fuselage-mounted canons that could be electrically rotated to fire upwards?

Not rotated, fixed... Schrage Muzik is the name the Krauts had for them.

Two 30 mm cannon mounted in static and fired automatic , heavy armed and quick , also known as the 'German Mosquito' .

Edit: Gavin, that,s the name , due to be released this week.

Hmmm - might be a diff version. I saw a doco last year that showed them as canons that could be rotated through 180 degree by the rear gunner - plus they could also angle outwards to 45 degrees or so.

Ah, that sounds more like it. I thought the Heinkel moniker seemed out of place - it's not that the 219 is a dead-ringer for the 410, but it's been a while since I saw both. I just did an online search for the 2, and I see now that beyond a generally sleek line & 2 engines, they are quite different aircraft - from tricycle vs tail-dragger to twin-boom vs single fin tails. Funny how time fudges little details like that... tongue.gif
