Hi Guys,
I thought I'd show you a few of my recent repaints, none NZ related, that are all available on Ozx.

I hope there's something for everyone among this lot?

Amazing work, Jan Kees! clapping.gif
Besides some subtile weathering, I particulary love the Bearcat's leading edge parts with the paint torn off. I have to learn about this technique!

And I have to admit that 2048x2048 texture files as used for FSX do have some advantages...

Cheers,
Markus.

Markus , Capt Sim has brought that up to 4.096 kb files on the 707 , really makes that quite impressive cool.gif

here's a few more recent paints:

These B-17's are all based on B-17E's that flew in and around Australia, 'Suzy-Q' returned to the US, 'The daylight ltd' crashed in Mareeba and 'Yankee Doodle' crashed in PNG, with Gene Roddenberry at the controls. Fortunately, he survived, to bring us Star Trek much later..

Then there are a few Spitfires I did, paid for by the Dutch East indies, but flown by the RAF/RCAF. 'Soebang' ZD-L
is still around, and can be seen in the Canadian War Museum

This one is still work in progress:

but almost done, while our good friends at warbirdsim have asked me NOT to upload any P-51D paints, as it seems they are planning something themselves, so you'll have to be very patient. Still, showing pics won't hurt:

then there is this foray to the dark side:

and a canadian Mitchell:

and I even produced a tube:

Of course, let's not forget the other Mustang:

and a Corsair that I'm quite happy with:

a lightning:

and finally another bunch of Mustangs, all extremely dirty and weathered, and all from the same squadron:

check out this video to see two of them in action:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3atabeURDU...player_embedded

I think this brings you up to date, all these paints (except for the Porter (soon) and the P-51D's (much later)) are on OZx, I hope you'll enjoy them!

Fantastic repaints and shots (love that last one)..

I have made up my mind and I'm going to get the Warbirdsim P-51D but will hold off and wait and see what happens with other Warbirdsim P-51D releases first ..and what repaints come out, especially yours Jankees.

Brilliant paints , have to rip across the OZshop for em cool.gif

It is strange to think , one simmer years ago questioned the making of warbirds for flight sim , this now can be answered by just saying to understand the realism off the many types , a FW-190 to the B-17 .

Great little video wink.gif

Thanks for you remarks.

Yes, it's too bad wbs don't want to release a paintkit yet, but that's their prerogative. I think they want to try and ake a bit more money on additional models and paints. Thruth be told though, I don't really see (nor care about) all the little differences between the different models. OK, different prop and canopy for the K, but apart from that...

But the lack of a paintkit is so far not really stopping me, rather the fact that they don't want me to release anything yet gives me time to tweak a bit more. Compare the previous Rammer Jammer with this one:

looks better, don't you think?
