I have only the one picture, but I am curious to find out what that circular logo over the three stripes is. Any clues?

Chris , what aircraft type , P2-BAY cannot be a New Zealand paint ?

Hmmm. A PNG BN Islander? Maybe the PNG coat of arms?

Narrative:
Shot down. Also reported to have been set on fire by rebels after landing.
The aeroplane was later seen at Tabubil (TBG) in 2006 as P2-BAY (MountainAir) in deteriorted state. This occurrence may have happened at Tabubil to P2-BAY or VH-BAY was repaired after the 1990 occurrence.

P2-BAY was also VH-BAY, so them Aussie types could be interested... winkyy.gif
