Gidday does anyone have the Plane Design Mk16 Spitfire with the teardrop canopy and does it work in FSX SP2 ?,..website doesnt look like it has been updated since 2006 so begs the question if there is any after sales service as well ...

Charl has it he may se this post or maybe drop him a PM...apparently difficult to fly but visually pretty good....not sure whether Plane Design really exists anymore and also not sure about it working FSX.

Naki doesn't only know everything that happens in the world of aviation, he also knows everything about everything in the flightsim world...
This includes what's on my hard drive ohmy.gif .

SO:
Yes
No
Correct
Nil

But let an opportunity pass to post another Spitfire screen?
I think not.

Brilliantly crafted model, superb textures

Not many FS models will let you zoom this close

If RealAir didn't exist, there would be no contest.
As it is, I use the RA airfile on this one, as it is unflyable.
I've had the discussions with the modeler, who sticks to his guns, and I to mine.
There are charming idiosyncrasies, like the canopy which can be just cracked open.
Never seen any other model do that, and on a Spit it's brilliant.

Charl , that first screen Brill! as you pointed out , the nice little touch with canopy , least RealAir stepped up a notch in FSX with the MK9 , i was hoping for the RA to do the tear-drop 14 but .

Hi

I have a lot of comunication with Ed Walters at Plane-Design in the lead up to him giving me permission to use his payware Lancaster and convert it to Dambuster Operation Ready status.

He was working on some FSX projects BUT has had a major family issue that has prevented further models being released. Not sure when he might resume as that was back in December 2009.

The Spitfire is almost certainly going to work in FSX, the Lanc did/does. If his research on the Lancaster package is anything to judge by, then his Spitfire is going to be great.

Cheers

Speaking of Spits http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/view...9bbebb06b664496, looks like the Accusim of the A2A Mk 1 will be something else clapping.gif

My credit card will be out for both of them. Nothing else in the flight sim world will touch them. I fly their jug regulary over any other warbird, simply because the others no matter how good, have no realism other than a good flight model and skin. You can over boost the engine with no repercutions. These planes add a whole new level of emersion, where there is a consequence to every system you dont mangage correctly. These new planes should have full engine wear modeling like the B-17. I am waiting in anticipation.
