Kia ora!

With Sean's assistance in retrieving some great sources over at rnzaf.com, here comes the Mount Cook Lily:

(Underwing letters of course have to be corrected...

)

Nice and simple classic livery, isn't it?

As you may have noticed, this one is for the PAD DHC-6. The stripes and letters showed up just to wacky on the Dantes/Ilanes Twotter...

Any plans to do the later scheme with the stripes? (The last scheme the type wore in Mt Cook colours)

Fixes are done!

Note the fin's letters have also been adjusted to match the original.

Now it's ready for take-off!

Very nice Wildbill........now, have a rest....and see if you can put that scheme on the default Dak.....come on big guy....you can do it

Marty , The default DC-3 has an error , old MSFS thing .. the FSX model ..well with the AWESOME4 package , James Eden fixed the problem .

Not enough Twotters yet!

The stock DC-3 is just too ugly to join my paint hut.
But if you'll find a Mount Cook Dakota with "default" windows, I may get tempted to throw my brushes on the MAAM Goon once again...

The hardest part for the 1985 MCO seems to be done:

Lawrie , i see no script writing on the logo - the tail , 'Mount Cook Lilly' that was the problem , i wonder if there was a MAAM paint done ?

The default FS9 dak uses the same image for the tail on both sides, so any lettering would be reversed on one side, common to many of the default aircraft, including the humble C172.

Ive had the Maam DC3 for many years, but in all my years of searching FS websites for a paint, ive never come across a Mt Cook paint for the Maam Dak unfortunately.
Would be well worth while someone doing one, its a beautiful model.

It was primarily for AI use, along with an NAC version i have as well, and a Southern DC3 (Ashburton) version too.
But, they all work as flyables as well...........

Yep - I particulary like those smudgy parts touched by exhaust!

But if you have a closer look to the pics of the real one, you'll find that soot crust too...

Unsurprisingly, the Canadian Forces use to paint those nacelle and wing areas black.
