Excellent news for Bus fans, Aerosoft are to release a new FSX-only A320/321 model by the end of April, with complexity somewhere slightly less than the AirSimmer advanced model, but more than the freebies. Price apparently gonna be about 30-euros. The model looks lovely, lots of screenies here...

The project is clearly positioned between the default Airbus and the far more complex (and more expensive) models from other development teams. Like the real Airbus usability and transparent, easy to use systems were the main focus, all packaged is some of the best modeling ever shown in an FSX addon. As it is easy on framerates and not overly complex, it is ideal for online flights where workload can be high.[/quote]

I'm not truly an Airbus fan BUT! i do admire superbly detailed models and with the type going to ply the routes around the country taken over the beloved Boeing , it will be one i will buy , Aerosoft s reputation ,the Catalina for example would make this one to check out smile.gif

Did this ever get released ?

I see the box version on the aerosoft website is still in pre-order mode (with a projected release date a few days ago) but no sign of a download version anywhere.

From the forum posts over the last week or so the product is still clearly in beta mode, sounds like flight model testing is going on, and they are still working on things like the manual. No further date indication that I've seen. Wait and see I guess. Some nice screenies coming out tho of the VC

I feel sorry for the developers, and I know some of you guys here who build your own addons will know all about this, but most of the posts to the Aerosoft forum area for the new A320 are from people whining about features they think should or shouldn't be in the product, man you'd have to have a thick-skin to ignore all that darnation

To make it worth while for me it has to up to PMDG standard or the LVL D 767 as a minimum. It also has to have a fully update-able nav database and the ability to modify, or add, my own SID/STARs and approaches (as we tend to get missed out here) by NavData.

This one is not for you then...
Funny thing, I have no idea what everybody is requesting all the time, it's all in acronyms that I don't know. What are sid/stars for instance, and why are they so important to so many people, even though Aerosoft have no plans to include them?

It does look good though, if I say so myself:
