Dear folks!

For I don't want to hijack the "Repaint requests" thread, I think it's better to start a new topic on my upcoming repaint on Milton Shupe's awesome DHC-7 in Newmans livery.
This is what happened up to now:

I'll post some screenies here as soon as there will be a significant progress - so stay tuned!

Cheers,
Markus.

It was a good idea to make this an independent topic.

As expected, your work so far looks great! smile.gif

Well guys, here's the current status:

I think the cheatlines are O.K. so far.
I omitted the thin dark blue outlining of the light blue lines. Keeping proportion and scale of those outlines, they should have been less than one pixel wide...

The seperately mapped nose cover turned out to be a very tricky part - still fiddling on its adjustment...

Cheers,
Markus.

Well done - that last screenie looks good and the proportion of the light blue lines looks far better than the earlier shot. I've found by establishing good accuracy with the initial size and positioning of lines on a re-paint, the remaining detail falls into place easier. And as for tapering curved lines - well they are just a curse !!

Thanks, folks!

Yep - those cheatlines are a curse...

Today's result:

After tinkering on it for about 10 hours now, I think a need a break.
Now I know what Jerry Seinfeld meant when hissing his "Newman...!" laugh.gif

Hi, Doug!

I think Milton's Dash7 should (basically) work in FSX too:

As far as I know, he's working on a true FSX upgrade.

Cheers,
Markus.

If not, this gal should be ready for take-off soon.
Just have to write the readme and pack her...
