Spotted this link on Avsim today

Boeing 787

Looks pretty good for a Payware product until I converted to NZ$ :D especially when I noticed in the list of included textures that there was NO Air New Zealand one of the First to sign up for this planes delivery :o

Whats funnier is that the majority are VA repaints <_< that sucks you got to PAY for a Virtual Airlines Advertising on this plane and probably never fly that texture.

WORD OF WARNING

DO NOT be tempted to download the FREE DC3 they are offering angry.gif

Its just a link to harvest your email for spamming purposes.

Also you may notice most of the stuff they are offering is already Freeware this looks like a scam site to get your money.

It doesn't look that good and it's not even accurate to the final Boeing design. They've got the old 'shark' style tail and some sort of hybrid 767 nose section. From the front view, the engines look too small. I thought the GEnX engine had a 112 inch diameter fan. Looks like  to me!

i've already been ina topic bashing the product and sent them a biiiig list of improvements including:

- engines too small
- engines missing main feature anyway
- nose is from a 767...
- ...or cockpit glass way too small
- windows far too big
- and in the wrong position
- and square
- and the door windows don't line up

etc ;)

Didn't Abacus make FSRepaint? That comes in handy to view repaints and make sure they'll show up without having to fire up FS.

Doesn't look great eh... anyway do the real 787's have HUD's like the abacus model?

Yea, 787's will have HUD's, apparently they are optional as well on the 737NG and 777...

I saw this and have to say as a model builder I was very disappointed that Boeing have licensed this model, my personal view is Boeing havnt bothered to check the quality, if they had I doubt they would have supported it. It also effectively closes the door on other developers who may have developed a high quality model.

On the bright side I use FSDesign Studio from Abacus, its one piece of software that's come from them thats pretty darn good.
