Just wandering if anyone else has problem with Project Opensky planes in FSX? I have downloaded couple of Boeing 767-200s and 777-232 ER's and in all cases the gauges in VC and 2d panels don't show up. I have followed the installation process to the letter and no luck. Is there a fix for this problem or do you have to download the vc and 2d panel gauges seperately? I am running FSX with FSX extension pack, as well as Wilco 737 Pilot in command. No other addons.

SIXX , im very sure the VC is an extra d/load , i dont use Project Opensky for the very reason i have the payware counterpart ... superb choice , i'd go back to the site and or check there forums , others here could help , my best solution .

Had the same problems as you Sixx. Followed the instructions down to the letter with no joy. I have given up now.

Sometimes the problem can be cause by some missing true fonts or FSUIPC ( Not sure why ? )

Project Open sky planes don't come with any VC or 2D panel , so make sure you have merged the panel correctly with the planes : )

What ever you do tho dont bother asking on their forums...ive never posted on there my self personally but they just tear people to shreds, the most unfriendly forum ive come across so far!

I also see quiet few people fly the PMDG 747-400 or 747-400x. Is there anywhere in NZ i can buy the hard copy (as in cd and booklet) of this? I have gave up on the Open Sky. no luck with these. I still love my Wilco 737 PIC.

I among a heck of a lot of people find any POSKY aircraft notoriously frustrating when updating them, installing VCS etc. 100% agree with Funkey.

I remember spending a few hours one day trying to get the VC into the ERJ-145 of theirs, eventually gave up and asked for some help on their forums. Specifically said 'Don't link me to the search, don't tell me to read the instructions. I've done so but both have been NO help, hopefully someone can try to explain things a little better than what's in the readme?'

Well within a few hours there was a reply, telling me to read the instructions. Then another, which had NOTHING to do with the topic. Then a few of them started chatting about something else completely different. I have to say there's a few hypocrites over there. They enforce the rules of their forums on the members, but can't seem to stick to the rules themselves. It never ceases to amaze me how often I go into their support forum, find a topic I think I could help with, read what the problem is, scroll down to hit reply and try to help but all I find is a 'CLOSED' sign, with a stupid reply from a mod 'Please use the search feature' or 'Try reading the readme'

I have to say it really pisses me off at times when they can't offer proper support for their own aircraft, yet seem to claim they're one of the greatest communities in the FS world.

EDIT: Almost forgot, biggest piece of advice I can offer if you DO go to their forum, do NOT go to the support forum and have one of their aircraft and FSX in the same topic, you'll be branded a kid and given s**t for it until they run you out of their forums. I used to think FSX was bad, still do, but I've just moved on and learned to accept that FSX appeals more to the mainstream gamer market now more than previous FS did.

Not having the addon you are using im not sure how much this will help ,if you downloaded the main pack and putting in the 2d panels and VC whatever,do you see a panel there with no gauges or a VC without gauges in FSX ???
if you can see the panels and you are in the VC but the gauges dont work or show there is a little fix you can do by going into the addon/simobjects/airplanes/767-200 folders ,open the panel folder and you will see a panel.CFG file ,open this with notepad

by changing the red parts in the VC text will replace gauges with the default FSX gauges that you could chose from the 737/ 747/ and so on ,
the red text that ive highlighted is just to shows acouple of the many gauges that can be changed ,you have to keep the numbers the same as that is the placement of where the gauge lives on the panel ,so this part =737-400!Transponderis the only part you would need from another aircraft panel CFGs and insert to the 767-200 panel cfg you are modding or working on ..
always backup the files you are playing with just in case ...

this is one of many goods mod to help convert your favorite aircraft VC and 2d panels for FSX

As for the Posky 767, you CAN NOT add an defult FSX VC into it as it's made with FS9 SDK. You could if one of the Posky members compiled it or w/e with FSX SDK. You could add the defult FSX Boeing738 panel into the Posky 767's.
