I have always used the POSKY 737-800 series in fs2004, but am wondering today if there are any better alternative freeware variations of the B737- model...

What is your favourite one and where can I download it?

I use the FFX 733, I think its the best, the detail is pretty good for a relatively small file... Its by far my most favourite plane on flightsim :)

My 2c worth :P

For a freeware I really like the Tinmouse 737-200 with it's old 'steam' gauges and good clickable overhead and big loud JT8 bottom smacking non hushkitted engines!

The freeware FFX B733 is really the only option for the 300 series for freeware. A good panel - http://www.pspanels.co.uk (the freeware 733 panel not the payware NG panel)

O yup the ffx, I used that alot on my old pc but have never got around to reinstalling it on here, I liked it but for the panel I only had this one with a total of like 9switches that actuly do somethig  , is there a anz ffx733?

That ps panel looks good, apart from the overhead , or lack of it lol itll do thow, great guages thow, Ill also give the tinmouse ago, although its a -200 shouldn't make much differance.

Hey trolly I downloaded the new kittyhawk 738 and its very nice, great textures allthe while nice on the performance. I havent flown it but they claim its "tested by a realworld 737 pilot" so might be as good as posky :D For the 738 make sure your useing the panel from projectopensky.com I think its the best one iv ever come across for the ngB)

Rgr that guys.

I already have an old school Tinmouse installed, but have not flown it once yet.

Can someone please direct me to an ANZ FFX 733?

I will go search for the Kittyhawk model now...

I have put up the ANZ FFX on my webspace. It's from the Virtual Air NZ Hangar.

Download the 1.6 meg zip here

It features prominently in my latest video (shameless plug lol).

Thanks Matt, I have downloaded and installed the FFX.

I am surprised it is only 1.6mb, it certainly looks real good from the outside.

Was that zip you uploaded just the paint, or did you purposley include the model because I cant find the FFX model anywhere else on the net...?

Also, I am missing the textures for the pilots, inside of the cockpit and cabin, and back of the door that opens (shift+2). They all appear gray at the moment- do you have a fix for that?

Cheers once again, I am gonna try it out on a NZWN to NZAA trip when you reply. :D

Hi there

I to like the FFX 733 and 734 and have had them for some time now, However during night flights when the landing lights are on the beacon light appears on the ground and makes HUGE circles around the aircraft in a solid red colour. I have tried to fix this in any way that I can think of. Any Ideas??

P.S. Currently my favourite 737 in the payware one by Wilco/Feelthere although there is not Air NZ livery yet there is Qantas Jetconnect

There is an ANZ livery from AVSIM for the Wilco/Feelthere but it isn't great...

yes I also have that problem with the light (I actuly thort it looks rather neat:P ) Maby if you go the aircarft.cfg file and scroll down the lights section , have a wee play with those lights and you may be able to just delete that light permanatly therfore stoping it! :D it may work just make sure you backup the original ;)

For the ultimate 737 Classic, (-300,-400,-500) use the 50North model merged with the Wilco/Feelthere panel. All payware, but well worth it!

I have got the 50 north one but prefer the wilco one

I have also played around with the FFX CFG

The reason I want a FFX-Wilco merge is because of the air stairs :plane:

haha yes I do, I should have about $100 to spend on a new vid card by the end of the mounth.

At first I really didnt like the vc but its not actuly that bad, I dont see the point in them haveing clickable overhead cos the textures are so crap you cant read what the switches actyuly do (that could just be my pc lol) I just flew from YSSY-YMMl in it and it was reasonably nice, its good haveing the 3d and 2d panels, certainly a nice addition seeing all the other posky vc's eathier textures that take a minitue to laod or a panel that doesnt even work.

I recomend you donwload it, youl eathier like or not :P
