Hey Charl, thats the one "solo" for the high res repaints, well over 100+ repaints (including RNZAF Mustangs) for this bird on Avsim from Jan Kees alone and John Terrell also(who also done an amazing paintkit that Jan Kees uses) amongst others

Well I know you are a busy man, have just downloaded the last four you have posted on SOH (Savoie, RAF etc), but if you geta spare10 minutes.... ;)

That is the one indeed!

As for Miss Torque, it takes a bit longer than 10 minutes, say...15 or so...so with a bit of patience, and didn't you want a harvard too?

oh well, see if this works:

Jankees I have just downloaded 100MB or so of your P51 paints, (and gave up after page 4 of 10 for now)
You are one prolific painter!
Would be great if you added to the NZ Harvard fleet

Looks great Jan Kees, thanks again, and with the RNZAF Harvard, like I said on SOH plenty of patience, especially with that checkered cowl to do

Oh dear, I don't want you to overload your harddrive...I do get carried away at times..
But seriously, try and go for the later repaints, especially those with John Terrell's paintkit. Some of the earlier ones are, looking back, not quite up to my present standard. And try to avoid the WoP/WWII versions, they have a much lower resolution (unless you like a particular bird of course)

As for the Harvards, sure. I assume the ones in the pic are the ones that have been done? So what is left? If you supply me with images, I can always see what I can do.

Looking at all the jacques':fun to see them aligned like that. Am I mistaken or does Warwick a/c have a slightly different shape? The nose seems shorter..
You can also see they are two different paintschemes, I did the new one, with Bugs Bunny and different letters on the nose. That photoreal paintjob looks brilliant (it is a photo after all) in a screenshot, but I find it less appealing when flying, as the shine and shades do not change while turning etc. Still, it's unbeatable in a screenshot.

Miss Torque will become available over the next few days.

Quite right, the Warwick a/c is actually more accurate if you compare it to the original.
And yes, I agree that a photoreal screenshot taken in the right light and angle, is unbeatable.
I take a lot of screenshots... :wink2:
I hope I haven't missed Miss Torque, didn't notice it appearing?

The airshow season is upon us, I'm sure we can come up with a good crop of current Harvards for painting!

As for shapes, I always felt Warwick's is a bit too short, and its sides are too flat, but maybe that's just me.

Sorry, Miss Torque is still on my harddisk, some final adjustments and not enough time to upload yet, hopefully over the weekend.

As for harvards, you take the pictures and I'll see what I can do, OK?

OK last shot from my current North American Aircraft Co. obsession!

Upper is Jan Kees' repaint on WOP , lower is Yago9 on Warwick Carter (Many thanks to Naki for locating this paint)

Jan Kees has a point - the Wozzastang is too slab-sided!

WOP definitely behaves better as a painted model.
Warwick's model with photoreal textures can give stunning shots as the flatness is somewhat disguised by the textures.
Still a great model, and we're not talking price yet...

Well yago9 has been at it again...this time on the A2A (Artist previously known as WOP) models.
If Jumping Jaques is among your favourite Mustangs, you are totally spoiled for choice now.
The ALPHA offering has fallen off the scale along with earlier models, here's the current toybox:

Some local flavour too (there are two new texture packs over at Sim Outhouse)

BUT the piece de resistance: he has done different, custom pilot figures

Let it be said too, there are not many models which would permit this kind of closeup intrusion...
Bravo, Lucien, the fleet has never looked better

Awesome repaints - questions:

1. So NZ2426 is for the Wazzastang?

2. Is there a Dove of Peace and/or Miss Torque repaint for the Wazzastang?

Love this thread...I recently got the WW2 Fighters package and am impressed with most of the models. (I do still prefer the Flight Replicas Me-109)

I'm gonna utilise both the Wozztang and WOP P-51's for my FS9 Wanaka airshow I want to do very soon. Some of the Photoreal paints for the Wozztang are amazing and make it externally very good. But model wise i think the WOP one is better....the VC is just stunning.

No this round is all A2A, haven't seen MT for Wozza, either.

Well now yago9 has his sights set on the A2A model, there'll be plenty to choose from by the time you get your Cessna mended, and get to Wanaka!
