Adam...wrong spot for this but....those screens you did of the Electra were great thumbup1.gif ....but i cant find them again unsure.gif

Do I hear the sound of the great Splitpin Screenshot machine cranking up??? (whup, whup, whup, *CLICK*) laugh.gif I must admit I think I posted mine in the wrong thread - as there seem to be a few on the Electra.

I put them in Adrian's original thread here. Great looking aircraft/repaint.

Hi

I have done a Red Checkers repaint of Daniel Da Silva's freeware Harvard. I am most happy for you to include this aircraft in your list. It has been test flown by a bloke who has some Harvard time, and he has pronounced it as RIGHTEOUS . Included are some power settings from a bloke in Ardmore who does the odd airshow about the place. Please note, it is NOT easy to fly ( in Cessna terms ). It isnt meant to be easy. Its a military trainer, and therefore REQUIRES correct handing. The AIR & MDL are actually Jan Vissers, and the sound is......LOUD :-), and the panel is a bit of a bitsa, but it was done on the advice of another bloke who lead Red Checkers back in the 50"s. Its a full aircraft. No other download is necessary.

http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=105795.

Or, do a search for nat6_rc.zip

I note that Snowman already has my V807 on his list , which is fine with me. Laurie didnt email me back, but I flicked an email his way with a few extra goodies for his site, and a few queries about this n that. I really just wanted to say thanks to him for his great scenery cool.gif thumbup1.gif

I have also just finished a repaint of a V807 NAC Viscount for AI , as well as an HS-738 in Mt Cook clothes. I just CANT do NZ simming without Viscounts.
So I will give them a few test runs, and send them to Charl ???? I am certain he can use / incorporate them more effectively for general sim use than I can ( I have silly AI flightplans that make Harvards do circuits of Wigram etc etc ). I guess I could just publish them at flightsim.com, but I would really like the NZ sim people such as yourselves to have a handle on these aircraft .

Harvards AI are coming.....slowly.....For those like myself, ( and Ian ??? ) who grew up in Christchurch, the sound of Harvards is a natural. The intent is to have a bunch of them doing their thing around NZWG, circuits, going here, going " over there " etc. So I will stay in touch on that. Shouldnt be more than a month. ( less if I have my way ! )

lastly, I will twist a mates arm and get an Argo done for AI . Its fine having an Argo doing its thing, but I would prefer a LOD6 rather than LOD1 . That said, I havnt had any framerate glitches using the full Argo . My mate does payware in the USA, but he LOVES flying in NZ ( cos its a small place , and he got to know it quickly ) . He is a very busy chap, so please .....no holding of the breathe. ( and I cant bend polygons yet )

Feel free to email me if you have ANY queries or questions ( tasman763@gmail.com ) ,

yeah, thats it for now. Cheers , Andy ( aka Toz , aka ZK-KEA , aka Me )

Andy , Harvard,s and the Devon,s - the Alpha Sim Harvard is the sound package that tells you its the one , its that good , Wigram is only down the road , Harvard on a stick - and lucky still have FS9 installed

No worries Ian . I think the sound file I used was Aaron Swindels , but I did check out a few others. Aarons one was far superior. I did not realise that the Alpha Sim was freeware !

Anyways....I have found an AI V807 that bases itself on Rick Pipers V800, so I guess I can slap my repaint around it and publish it as AI. I will let y'all know in a week or so what I can come up with. I have done an NAC repaint of a Continental V810 , but its still a tad shonky.

An HS-748 is done, and it looks ....OK. early 70's blue. You are right, matching that blue is hard work ( as seen in another post re HS748 ), and I am not certain that mine is 100% accurate. But the guys who have tested it seem to be pleased.

Also done is a Flock of Harvards with an AI flightplan. Its not bad, but I would rather that someone from this site tested them . I colour matched from photos , and did what editing I could . They look OK to those who have seen them. The FP takes them out over the old Ellesmere bomb/ target range, right circuit for TNG. I made a few others fly thru NZAS - NZWF to do more circuits with P-51's , Spits etc etc......and an RAAF P3 joins the show.
As a tribute , Clostermanns JFE joins in. ( Mk V Tempest )

I guess I should post pix ??? so you can judge for yourself ......dang......will post again later today.....( sad.gif , what a nurgler )

With my father being 3TAF reserve we allowed them to practice forced landings out over the farm, so occassionally , we would kinda get a private airshow ( they would see us lambing , and really turn some great flying on ! ) . As a pupil at Riccarton High, yep, I got to know THAT sound pretty well. ( oh praise be, it interrupted physics so often , even the teachers would laugh ).

So yeah, I'll upload a few pix later today ( hopefully ) so you can see what I am on about .

Cheers,
Andy

Ole Terry Hitchings , the Leader and the Sarge Major Ernie Poole as his deputy 'Riccarton High' .. Mister Richards the physics teach in my time and yes those Harvards , dang! we were so lucky !

Alphasim s is still payware . Very good friend , RNZAF dumped a few Harvard,s , one in Ellesmere region , a paddock the other in the Waimak River bed , night time over Yaldhurst and Sockburn was like music to my ears .

G'day

have finished first stage of Viscount AI . Have rigged up an FP for the 5 aircraft, and have them sorta doing the old routes. They are not PERFECT , but unless you are an NAC V807 freak , I dont think they are too bad. I have a FLAPS glitch to fix however, so I will attempt to disable the flaps ( its a Rick Piper V800 modifies for AI ) and see how we go. Mr Paul Deans is testing it for FSX. He has also tested the Flock of Harvards, and has pronounced them to be Up to Spec. Of course ....there ARE a few small imperfections if you get up VERY CLOSE, but.....they look pretty good to at least 3 sim pilots. I will upload the packages to flightsim.com in a few days, along with separate AI flightplans for each aircraft type so that users may disable various aircraft ( eg Airshow Harvards ) without having an effect on the Flock of Harvards.

I will upload to the album the HS748 repaint I have done as well. Its a tricky one, as it is not a high LOD model, so there are , if put under a scanning electron microscope....a few imperfections...and that blue....well, I pulled up a photo , and used that for colour sample. It may not be perfect, but its VERY close to how I remember the Mt Cook HS748's .

Errrr......I have also run up a flightplan for a daily airshow at Wanaka. This is so that any day may be used as a " lets fly close formation on this guy " type of thing. Its not like Charls FP , in that several aircraft types that have not attended Wanaka are included, and the Harvards stop in at Ashvegas to pick up AMY , and then everyone flies to Wanaka for a shindig plane.gif . What do y'all thunk ??? And disabling it is as easy as BGL - BAK , so it is not tied in with any other FP .

Anyhow, here is the link. Would appreciate the comments smile.gif

Tasman VA Gallery <<<=-= Viscounts etc here

Cheers and thanks,

A new repaint for the Quality Wings 757. This one has the forward cargo door, unlike the default QW Sim repaint.

Where is this one, Alister?

@Andy let us know when/where these aircraft can be found - those screenshots are brilliant!

I know the guy who painted this one. It's a much more realistic repaint than the default QW sim one as this has the cargo door fitted, rather than the full front row of passenger windows, just like the real aircraft. I think he had some help from Dax Sweetman on it too (I put Patrick in touch with his email anyway)
It's a sweet plane, I'm surprised we don't see more flying it. I guess the 757 isn't to everyone's taste laugh.gif

Yes - I have the CS757 and really like it. Even the engine sounds are good. I find the 757 much more attractive than the [fat] 737 and sleeker in some way than the 767 and 777. From what I've seen/heard of the QW 757, I think I may buy it.

The QW is certainly not going to be as systems detailed as a PSS bird, but I find it enjoyable to fly, and pleasing on the eye all the same smile.gif

There are two NZ airrcaft repaints by Bananabob that I have uploaded to SOH (all his repaints were lost and SOH is having a round up of his repaints) ..these weren't available anywhere for a while..these are the Lotus L-39 repaint (ZK-TCS) and the Carenado Cessna 182Q (ZK-TUF - ficticious and also available at Snowman's site). I have also uploaded the US "Firecat" repaint of the Lotus L-39.
I made a mistake and uploaded the Firecat repaint for the TCS repaint which is all blue but the repaint download is correct. Lotus L-39 ZK-WLM (the ex Wanaka now Ardmore machine) is also now also available at SOH

Thanks for those, Paul. Could've sworn I'd added an L-39 before ... but couldn't find it!! Here are the three repaints:

C-182Q ZK-TUF
L-39 ZK-TCS
L-39 ZK-WLM

Am I right that the "Firecat" (ZK-TCS) isn't the "Firecat" ... that's it's the all blue one?
