Well, got it sorted, no thanks to Captain Sim.

Just deleted the FSUIPC that came with the 767 and replaced it with the older 4.3 version I had lying around and it works!

Now how do I tell Captain Sim that I don't need their help anymore, as I haven't heard back from them yet?

It's just a newer version by Pete Dowson, but maybe something doesn't like it? Are you using Win7 64bit by any chance?

@waka172rg: FSInn?

Does anyone know where or if there is a RNZAF CS 757 repaint for the freighter? I thought I saw one once.

Man there are a heck of a lot of 'autopilot issue' topics on the CS site.

There are a lot of 'autopilot issues' on the support site of all complex airliner addons. Mainly to do with VNAV. If it can't be flown automatically in the exact same way as the default aircraft then it's 'broken'. People go out and buy these complex addons, then find to their horror that they are, well, complex ... and they come with - are you sitting confortably - manuals !!!! Oh the Humanity !

There was a guy posted on the Level-D forum not so long ago asking for help because to his dismay FS-Navigator wasn't able to control his 767. Someone replied (in effect) RTFM, as they always do to that sort of post. I bet he hasn't flown it since.

Sorry to stray from the Captain Sim gist of the thread but I never did figure out how to read that kooky (ie non speedtape / non boeing) ASI on the Herc so I've never flown it for more than a circuit, and that's the only CS I own. Hmm, I wonder if FS-Nav can fly it for me laugh.gif

I am very familiar with the autopilot and FMC, all other A/C with FMC's work but not the CS one's. But now like I said it is working, seemed to be an FSUIPC problem.

Yeah just uninstalled it too as it was conflicting with the Wilco 737 somehow.

Thanks for the info, I think I prefer the old scheme too.
But I'll see what I can do. What's the logo on the engine/tail, the star? any good pics of that?

Hows the RNZAF paint coming along Jankees?

OK found it

Missed it because I must have been looking for the FSX version

Edit: But thanks to the hacking, it's not there

Looks Brilliant Jan , the RNZAF bar on the tail is a standard Royal Blue and Blood Red , the photo has age just a little to much smile.gif I do prefer this scheme to the later and final lite blue washed over the tail .

For interest sake , the number 23 on the engines appeared on both sides , this aircraft was the RNZAF s challenge used in the Sinapore to Christchurch PDL air-race in 1987 . I recall the ANZ Cargo DC-8 won the honour in that class .
