Awesome screenshot Rick! Too bad McLaren didn't win today, but they did a great job coming 2nd and 3rd didn't they? That new Lewis Hamilton driver is incredable :o

He did pretty well, but I felt the ITV commentary team's focus on him was a little overwhelming <_<

I can't understand everyone's obsession with the 777. I think its soooo ugly, with its bulky front end and short cut of tail, followed by the fuselage poking out the back, yuk:

I'd pick a 767 over than any day ;)

It's understandable though- he's the new british hero! Before the GP coverage on sky, there was a cool documentary about him on BP Ultimate Sports Sunday on Prime, showing how he and Ron Dennis (Mclaren Boss) got to know each other and how Ron supported him. I reckon has gonna be the next big thing, and he's my new fav driver now that Kimis gone to Ferrari!

I agree!
When the Meljet model appeared, I thought he'd messed up the front.
It looked like someone grafted the front of an almost-DC10 onto something stubbier.

Turned out the model was accurate... :(

OOO I have to disagree with both Trolly and Charl! :ph43r:

I think the B777-300ER is the nicest commercial plane ever built. Great to fly in! Also it looks so damn grunty! (Of which it is :P ) I followed the development of the 777 all the way from back in '95 when it rolled out, so I guess I'm a bit biased, but that my opinion :D

I probably mis-posted here, it's not what the thread is about (although I stick to my guns: the 777 nose has radii that don't match the fuselage :P .)

No, favourite of all time, and best all-round commercial flyer to get you there faster than anything else, in as much comfort as you could expect from a sardine can in the sky:

Seat 8A upper deck, in the B744. B)

I tell you what, I have an A340-500 and a B777-300 model sitting on my shelf, both with Emirates, and I'd take the 777 any day of the week.

I mean, just look at it: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1173219/L/

Don't get me wrong, the 767 is a good looking machine, but not only is the 777 better looking, it's faster than the 767 too

Ahh Zöltuger you can't be right 100% of the time, but here you've proved you're right at least half the time! ;)

Is this guy a relation of Duncan Hamilton?

yes I would take the 777 over the a340-500 but not the a340-600 I like the biggest ones.

I have been to both Airbus and Boeing plants in Seattle and in Toulouse and even then I prefer Boeing

I don't like the Idea of my aircraft draged thousands of miles accross open road on the back of a truck.

eh? I've just checked it, it's definitely an A340-500. -600 won't be too different.

aparently the emeritas 345 has some sort of cameras on varios parts of the fusealarge, and the pax can view these cameras.. haveing a nose gear view on approach! proably a bit like the new fs10 exterior veiwpoints, sounds prety neat to me.

When the Meljet model appeared, I thought he'd messed up the front.

ahah I almost didnt download it cos the nose looked so messed up, pity the couldn't model the best part of the 77, the flight deck, instead we get a badly textured virtul cabin  The only 77 I like is the -200LR, each engine has like 100,000lb of thrust! (or is that the two combined? :P ) And the incredible range, not to mention the boeing on with butiful dreamliner paint scheme on it and those massive engins, and its not as ugly as the other varients..
