This one now at AVSIM: from Federico L. Morcillo Azofra and Laura Celis Santiago, filename pitts_special.zip

It's possibly not as good as the Christen Eagle, and needs a little sound transplant.
But it does what a Pitts is supposed to do.

It actually does look good! I wonder what it's sound like with the eagle sound? Or even with any lycoming sound set...

Must look

Oh... FS9 only...

Thought it sounds maybe a little too much like a Cessna ?

Great stuff, and a real nice perspective in the virtual cockpit. I dont often use VC's for some reason, even in payware, but I could fly that Special in VC mode all day I reckon, sweet.

Boy, this one is a Flyer!
Better than the LIC Eagle I reckon.
Must perfect that knife-edge thing... cool.gif

Haha - Must...Resist... laugh.gif
C'mon Paul your aircraft limit is unrealistically low, you know that!
I actually don't use the VC (it's OK but not a reason to get the model).
Stunt flying is best done from tower/spot view with quick swaps to 2D floating (<Shift-W>) dials to line up.
Perhaps if I had TrackIR...but there's really no time to look about you, wingtip 5ft off the ground.

Thanks for the HU PD - as the thread says... biggrin.gif
I believe there is work being done to tone it down a bit.

And Waka, I've gotten used to the Lycoming now, so my apologies for doubting your word!

Found this config fix posted at Sim outhouse, does the trick regarding speeds, more realistic biggrin.gif , changes in Bold

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type = 0
Engine.0 = 6, 0, 0
fuel_flow_scalar = .85
min_throttle_limit = 0

[piston_engine]
//Lycoming O-320D
power_scalar = 1.0
cylinder_displacement = 80
compression_ratio = 8.5
number_of_cylinders = 4
max_rated_rpm = 2700
max_rated_hp = 160
fuel_metering_type = 2 //aerobatic carb

cooling_type = 0
normalized_starter_torque = 0.32
turbocharged = 0
max_design_mp = 29.9
min_design_mp = 9
critical_altitude = 0
emergency_boost_type = 0
emergency_boost_mp_offset = 0
emergency_boost_gain_offset = 0
fuel_air_auto_mixture = 0
auto_ignition = 0
emergency_boost_duration = 0
max_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar = 1
idle_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar = 1
max_rpm_friction_scalar = 1
idle_rpm_friction_scalar = 1

Also, copy and paste this information near the end of the cfg file:

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed = 50.4
full_flaps_stall_speed = 50.4
cruise_speed = 133
max_indicated_speed = 177

max_mach = 0.25

Yeah!
The S1S can also do this stuff!

and it's a good-looking model.
The FDE does need a little help, hoping Piperdriver can come up with the goods here.
